    Merry xmas.

  • This is beautiful! thanks so much! Peace

  • can u please post some more open G stuff, or anyone to look up Open G blues. I am currently unemployed and cant spend money. Playing my guitar is all i got :(. Your lessons are great btw

  • At 1:45 you talk about "putting the pressure" on the D string. What exactly do you mean by this? Am I correct to understand that the note is still being fretted? I've been trying to capture the "essence" of that first riff but something is missing.

  • He's a Liverpudlian, from Liverpool in England. Home of the Beatles, Stevie G and King Kenny.

  • Very Nice!! You sound Irish...Scottish perhaps?

  • i fuckin love you man

  • Omg why are you not famous!!!!!

  • It's all great, but I love your subtle bends on the low notes. My style isn't as traditional as yours, but I just posted a raw blues slide song in open G on my channel that you might enjoy. It's called Underground. Check it out if you have the time. Anyway, thanks for the very thorough lesson.

  • Dude, how the fuck did you get so good?

  • @mynameisjonas45 he sold his soul to the devil!!

  • Thanks man. Well done. I'm working on some of Robert Belfour's hill country Blues and your lesson helped me get started.

  • thanks very much my friend ,delta blues to patagonia argentina

  • Just spent all afternoon learning and jamming this. Thank you! Is this your own creation or an old blues standard?

  • Ay, dats alright darris. Thanks so much for posting this. Your style so clear and inspiring - makes me want to put down the Strat and pick up the acoustic.

  • nice, always wanted to learn some of this..

  • It's GOOD

  • Sounds great! good job, now i will practice that

  • Mate, I can't thank you enough. You've given my playing so much more colour and you also gave me 'permission' to try so many of my own ideas. I owe you big time.

  • Great vid, I'm only just getting into alternate tunings after playing for a number of years.

one thing though, shouldn't that be Mersey Blues? :)

  • Great Great teacher! Thank You!

  • good stuff cheers for the lesson

  • Your lessons are great. I'm really enviousof your guitar skills. Where abouts in Liverpool are you? I'm in Old Swan...

  • Dude, you have hands down the best blues instruction I've seen. Just the best. Thanks.

  • Gee, man. Wau.....Carry on, Sir...General

  • This Man is great well done to you, well constructed video, and brilliant guitar work.

  • @jimikorley Ummm...

  • Love the accent. Irish?

  • @MitchRulzWorld

    its a liverpool accent.

    we call them 'scousers'

  • another great video from the headless blues player.

  • i will now be playing this forever . thanks hughly!!!

  • I got a question for all of you. This guy is the bomb. But I cannot figure one thing out. You know how he kinda half mutes the bass strings? I have no idea how he does it cause when I do it the string goes totally mute. He isn't doing the typical palm mute stuff where your palm sits on top of the end of the string (cause his hand is all the way up picking at the level of the fretboard). If anyone can explain to me how to mute it I'd appreciate it 1000Xs! It's been frustrating!

  • @tangster1985 ay man you slap the strings with your palms after theyre plucked

  • @tangster1985 I think he's using his thumb on his right hand very much like a slide guitarist does to mute the strings they are not playing. check out some slide techniques.

  • @tangster1985

He mutes the strings by using his left hand he releases the pressure of his left hand so it just touches the strings

  • I would like to say great video, you are a very good finger picker thats awesome. It made my playing a whole lot better.Thank you for the lesson.

  • Hey man i really like your lessons, i've always been a blues player but more of a led Zeppelin Rock and Roll style blues, i love the Delta Blues and i'm trying to learn it well because i love it but also how do you know where your going until you know where you've been ya know? i'm new to the Whole Finger picking, how should i place my Picking hand for comfort?

  • it's open A

  • @luizsousa25 no sorry your logic is off. this is open G. Go learn your open Tunings again then try and tell this master of blues he's wrong. Jerk i despise people like you

  • this is like very much!! this is called blues!

  • Werrrrkin..ta la!

  • i'm sure this has been asked but any tab?

  • What I'd like to know is where does he get all of this material. He has so many good riffs that I could only imagine in my head. Its like an old man on his front porch in the 1920's just woodsheddin' all day long!

  • Exactly! this inspires me so much. I could sit and listen all day!

  • is that a Tanglewood TW73 standing behind you?

  • Brilliant!

Now I know what to do tonight: Gonna try to play this! Thanks!

  • Very Very good... It helps me a lot

  • thats great, thank you a lot for posting. The only thing I don't really got was how to alterate from thumb to finger struming.
