  • You look so bored. It's hard to pay attention to you.

Didn't Barth repeatedly say that the Modernist way of thinking was irrelevent to faith and revelation? I'm currently on the fence regarding which view of inspiration I hold, but I'm not sure you're giving him proper credit on this.

  • thank you for this!!

  • do you have any scientific proof for your belief?

  • how do you know that God breathes the bible???

  • Barth was a Universalist wasnt he?

  • Could you post some quotations or citations of Barth's that show that he thought the word of Scripture became the Word of God by personal encounter?

  • you dont take Kant seriously? i think that some of us who take the life of the mind serious will have a hard time taking you seriously. because if you dont take Kant serious, im assuming you dont take, Kierkegaard, Nietzche, Hiedegger, Sartre, and the most profound christian existentialist Paul Tillich seriously. is that accurate?

  • Thanks

    Great job

  • Bobby,

Thanks for the clarity on Barth, I was beginning to worry a bit about what theological influences he would have on you...

  • Or rather *his theology* would have on you.

  • Hi Sam,

I think many worry more than is warranted about Barth.

His biggest influence on me is his view of election. I've started a new blog called The Evangelical Calvinist where you can read more about my views. My biggest influence is Thomas F. Torrance, Barth's student.

    Good to hear from you!
