To say that Orthodoxy is the only true church and is the oldest is a joke. Research the Assyrian church of the east where I'm from and you'll see there teachings are right back from the apostles. Any human practising Christianity in any church is an absolute warrior of God because it's a constant struggle that in many ways opposes human nature. I applaud and watch in admiration for any practising christian may God bless you and strengthen your mind and soul.
Indeed my serb brother, Orthodoxy is the only true faith!
I also want to tell you that I pictured the miracle of the incorrupted body of a Romanian Orthodox saint John Jacob from Hozeve in august 2009 in a pilgrimage to the Orthodox Holy Places in Israel.
The saint died in 1960.His intact body was found after 20 years,in 1980 in the cave in which he was burried, the cave in which he prayed all his life, and he was intact and had a superb heavenly smell.
all my christion brothers ,i have a question to u that can u show atleast one verses that jesus or god say that jesus is son of god !? and u can find a verses abt last prophet who is mohammed in bible plzzzzzzzzzz read carefully but most bibles have been re written by human ,
"We know that salvation itself is a property of the One Church, and that no one can be outside of the catholic Church and yet share the Faith of Christ, or be saved...Neither do we offer any part of that hope to the ungodly heretics, but we place them entirely outside of that hope; indeed, they have not the least participation in Christ, but vainly assume for themselves that saving Name."
-St. John Chrysostom, Archbishop of Constantinople (4th Century AD)
No matter what type of Christian you are you see the importance of our religion. I myself am a Methodist but these miracles mean as much to me as they do to a Catholic, Orthodox, or anybody else. All I can say is thank the Lord we aren't Muslims.
You are so wrong!!! The only real church is Orthodox...if u don‚t believe me read some history and u will find that until the year of 1054 there was only one church of Christ the Holy Orthodox church, and the whole known world (from India to Ireland) was Orthodox..then the Freemasons=the enemies of Christ divided the church and create the catholic church and lost the blessing of the Holy Spirit !!!
Shut up, you clearly missed the entire point of my comment. Go fuck yourself and the hoarse you rode in on. For the record the Western Roman empire was NEVER "eastern orthodox" as it in known today. Perhaps you should read a fucking book some time and quit attacking positive comments with your retarded opinion.
There were some minor differencies since the Charlomagne busted the political power of the bishop of Rome.
But the sin of spliting the body of Christ was too great for us to bare, until 1054 when with Luciferan pride the Pontifix demanded the obedience to "his church"!
The leader fo the Church is Christ and not a man!
We continue the faith of the Apostoles and the Holy Fathers, according to the 7 Ecumanical councils and not "theological personal opinions"!
"We continue the faith of the Apostles and the holy fathers", No you do not, period. Are you people that insecure about your faith that you have chosen to attack my positive comment towards the importance of these "miracles"?
This is a great video. Sometimes seeing is believing, but as an Orthodox Christian, seeing is just reaffirmation of what we already know to be true! :)
Can anyone tell me what the significance of the snake on the last icon is? Thank you in advance! God bless.
Every year around the middle of August, one can see snakes slither towards a particular church, the island has many churches but the snakes only go to this church, on the actual day, the 15th they climb (slither) on the icon of the Virgin Mary, the church filled with people and the priest holding the service but the snakes have no fear, as soon as the festivity is over they dissapear and regain their normal behaviour. Important to note is that the snakes have a cross on their heads.
When God commissioned Moses to go to the Egyptians he used a serpent to impress them, The Lord said to him, "What is that in your hand?" Moses said " A rod." And God said, "Cast it to the ground." So Moses cast it to the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. But the Lord said to him, "Put out your hand, and take it by the tail." So he put out his hand and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand.'
At least half of the images contain either reflexions of the flash or ambient lights into the icons ant other reflective surfaces one can easily find in any church (the orthodox churches tend to be very dark by nature), parasite reflexions inside the camera lens, natural phenomenons (mainly solar halos) or exposure problems.
that picture is supposed to be a miracle photo of Jesus peter and John. Someone I think took a picture of the sea of galiee and this is what came out instead.
I'm catholic and have a question. Are most Orthodox churches liberal or conservative? The catholic church is so liberal nowadays I dont relate to it anymore.
Liberal? The Church is against Abortion, homosexaul sex , Divorce and contraception. The Orthodox Church allows divorce and Contraception, so there the liberal one's not Us.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him to life on the last day, so be concerned if you get blood and flesh of Jesus in Eucharist like in Catholic Church and Orthodox Church or symbols as some protestant churches give. As for Orthodox Church Holy Light comes every year in Jerusalem In Orthodox Easter day
I prayed to God asking where the way with the easiest path of salvation is. A thought came saying, Orthodox Christianity has the easiest path of Salvation but Catholic Christians are very close. Pray to God to show the ultimate truth since God is the ultimate authority. Richest Church, arians had this, Church with most followers? Arians had this and so on, there is no criteria to consider beside asking God. Remember WISE man and Danie that asked God? Your prayers will be heard 7days a week
Dangelo you made a comment that is not true regarding the Orthodox Church.
Also for us to be two lungs they must be breathing together in the one Body of Truth. The Orthodox Church is the only one who has kept it as it was given, unlike the others, we did not modernise the Faith.
I am a Roman Catholic Priest, however I must say the Orthodox are truly great Christ-like people. You can clearly see their witness to Christ. I often pay a visit to a Coptic Church to say a prayer. Truly great Christians.
My Beloved Mother, Queen of Heaven and Earth!!! Show yourself now to people, like you did in Zeitung! Please Mother! It has begun Mother! We need you! Please come back again and show your Majesty my Queen! Amen, Amen, Amen!
I am a Catholic and very proud of it. I will share and come to your Churc h and pay a visit to The Eucharist and to our Beloved Mother. She wants unity among all Orthodox and Catholics. Amen, Mother, Amen...
It is perhaps not the best foto but there appeared an icon of Christ on the tree it is in Serbia. In the Holy Orthodox Church we have many icons "not made by human hands".
Ово на снимку је веома честа појава, поготову кад се снимају неки верски објекти, обреди или иконе. Појаве се невидљиве ствари као да је монтирано. А фотографи тај феномен називају ДИСПОЗИЦИЈА.

It's not insecurity it's a testimony.
I suggest to google and read "From Protestant to Orthodox" of brother David B, it might explain few things.
We are the living church of Christ and we continue His church since St. Paul baptized us, either you accept it or not.
As for the miracles, well, the great thing in our living faith is the continuous manifestation of God.
Holy water and bread (antidoro), anual miracles of the holy light or the turn of the Jordan river backards e.t.c.
Take care.

That's very interesting. Is their a Biblical explanation for the occurrance, or some sort of reason it takes place? Thanks for the detailed reply!

Try this video here:

It explains the whole occurrence of the snakes. And btw, the snakes don't seem to exist in the wild; no one can find the snakes except on this day.

Looking at liberal or conservative I think is missing the point. New Law promises eternal life for people getting the blood and flesh of Jesus,
John6:54

А моје мишљење је да се та "диспозиција" код сликања и снимања верских објеката појављује као знак свеприсутности свете Тројице.
