I am the king of long distance on line relationships. I met a boyfriend that was literally on the other side of the world. We spent months learning about each other. We started talking on the phone (that was a HUGE bill). Then I spent 36hrs flying around the world. It took another year for me to realize what a douche bag he was. I think I would have learned that a lot faster and cheaper if he was closer. I wish you the best of luck with yours.

I agree. I'm in a LD relationship. I'm totally ok with it, because Before him, I wasn't dating anyone, and I met him and we decided to do it. We don't live real far from each other, but enough to not be together too often. I know we will be together down the road more often and hopefully for good!

Real life relationships all involve a physical component, even if it's something as innocent as holding hands and the occasional kiss on the cheek. If there's no physical/sexual component, what distinguishes it from a close friendship with, say, a girl?
