Hello there. What side of the parchment paper is the one that we want to print the image on, is it on the oily feeling part or the more rough side. Thanks!
If I print an image to a baking parchment, should I the image to transfer to polymer clay immediately or can I do that e.g. next week? So is it good only if I make the transfer when I print out an image?
@bhabymine13 If you please go to my website (the address is in the video) and click on Cart. At the top, there is a Questions or Feedback form. Please send me a note so I can help.
@petmagnetetal It is baking parchment paper. There are different brands that work better than others. Watch the video again for my web address. Then go to the site and to /Products/Parchment/ParchmentVideo.htm for more information.
There are lots of different transfer techniques. Some of them require water. You can read more about different techniques by visiting the products or the Free Stuff section of my site. The address is mentioned in the video.
Is there any specific parchment paper that I should get? I just got some regular baking parchment paper and when I printed on it, lines looked very dotted, the image doesn't print in bright colors, seems kind of faded. The Image is also smudgy when it comes out of the printer. Please help.

No, I don't think so since the domino is already hardened plastic. The parchment paper technique "grabs onto" the unbaked clay. Do an Internet search for "ink transfer on dominoes" and you might find something that will work.
I was wondering if you would be able to do the same thing with and inkjet print. Can you print on parchment paper with an inkjet printer and would that transfer the same?
To test it, I just tried using an image I had printed about six months ago and it transferred. In my experience, some colors are harder to transfer than others and take a little more coaxing. Please take a look at the notes I have at Poly Clay Play. Look for parchment paper on the products page. You are welcome to send me a note for more info also.
Parchment paper is coated with chemically inert silicone and is meant to be used in the oven. Wax paper has a layer of wax on it that will melt and can hurt or ruin laser printers.
how did you print on parchment paper?:)

@bhabymine13 because they use regular, white paper and not parchment paper.

one question, I have just started experimenting with making domino jewelry. Could you do this technique on the plastic that domino's are made from?

Others have had great success with their ink jet printers. Be sure you use baking parchment paper, not stationery paper.
Please feel free to send me a note if you have any more questions. I am happy to answer.
