  • I fucking know it that when words like "coffee", "commercial" and "Lynch" are putted together the result will give fucking Dale Cooper saying "that's damn good coffee" :D

  • ask her log..

  • I bet the japanese even have Cherrypie in cans. Daamn good pie!

  • David Lynch has openly stated that he does commercials from time to time to make money. Get over it all you whiny fucking trolls.

  • @nakabar he also included by saying that it keeps him updated on the new cameras and equipments!

  • bahaha

  • IT'S RICH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Regardless of whether o not this piece of GENIUS is a real commercial or not, it doesn't matter! David Lynch has retained his directorial sensibilities and made the advert in his style, without sacrificing anything! And are people forgetting that he made a bunch of adverts for PS2 back in 2000?

  • Damn I need some of that shit.

  • MAN OH MAN! DAMN FINE COFFEE!

  • it's so surreal.

  • what makes you think this is not real?

plenty of people in hollywood do ads in asia.

i live in asia and you'd be surprised at the actors and actress doing silly ads for shit in magazines and on billboards.. artists makin cash to finance their masterworks is not a new story.

  • where you took quality of that movie from? From a dog's ass I guess.

  • incredible

  • How has no-one realised this is a terribly edited collection of twin peaks clips made to look like a sleek advert? Lynch clearly didn't 'sell out' and this probably isn't real.

  • perhaps David Lynch heard about how bad georgia coffee was and he's making up for it now by selling organic coffee himself. I respect him for that. He odnates the funds to help children, too.

  • FIRE WALK WITH ME!

  • lol plus ten for me

  • esp. considering what Coca-Cola, the brewer of Georgia Coffee, was doing back then (murdering union workers in Colombia - google "killer coke")

and on top of that he accepted a medal from Sarkozy, france's wannabe Tony Blair. yuck

  • how is making a commercial being a "whore"?

especially a japanese television commercial -- watch a few on youtube, get a feel for their status as actual pieces of pop-art.

say what you will about japanese pop-culture (i say a lot, myself): their television commercials are world-class. note how short and snappy they are. many of them contain the structure and aesthetic flow of vintage print advertisements.

what greater challenge for a great film director than to make one of these?

  • @108x You are a whore when your do a commercial. "Because it means you off the artistic roll call, everything you do is now suspect and everything you say is like a turd falling into my drink." -Bill Hicks. Nuff said. Lynch sucks and is a sellout.

  • @JokersRWildStudios

Then stop crying and move to North Korea. You don't have to worry about evil capitalism there, comrade.

  • @JokersRWildStudios You're forgetting Willie Nelson, goatboy. and stop saying "nuff said." Hicks was proof to us all that enough is never said, so if you're going to quote him to justify your name calling stop saying, "nuff said." Stop saying "nuff said."

  • It's OK to put a Lynch film into a product, but not a product into a Lynch film.

  • yeah... odd.

  • Heineken? F*ck that sh*t!

  • haha! excellent.

  • I'll buy it.

  • hahaha brilliant! "it's trueeee" :P

  • Hilarious.

  • now that is a good comercial

  • [backwards midget speak]IIIIII LIIIIIIIIKE COFFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!![/backwards midget speak]

  • Must. Buy.... CofFfIeE... XD!

  • Funny, and I was just going to ask you to go fuck yourself.

Quit shitting on my internet, please.

  • georgia coffee is horrible!

all the canned coffee is horrible!

  • lol. so cheesy it made me cringe

  • this is incredible

  • Lynch will direct ANY commercial- if the price is right, AND, provided it isn't seen in the United States. He doesn't like producing/directing "commercial" films, but if he has complete control over it...and, as I've said, IF the price is right...

  • lol

  • omgwtf?? ROTFLMBO, still xD

  • i love these stupid things

  • I love how a David Lynch directed commercial is still like the least surreal thing you're likely to see on Japanese TV.

  • TWIN TITZ!11

  • I am in Tokyo right now and Georgia coffee in a can is huge here. Seriously, and not just Georgia there are a ton of brands like Boss, which plaster Tommy Lee Jones's face on their vending machines.

I drink a coffee from a can basically everyday and it really isn't as bad as it sounds, plus it is all nice and warm when it gets out of the machine.

  • I'm really curious if this is actually David Lynch. Doing a commercial is one thing, but copying his own work (badly, I might add) doesn't seem like his style. Especially after hearing his comments on product placement; This is almost the same thing as product placement if not worse.

  • David Lynch has done tons of commercials.

  • special agent cooper in there :))

  • Ah ah ah!Twin Peaks RULEZ!!!!!!!!

  • lol

  • Great & funnY1

  • coffee starts losing its flavor right when its made so no this is gross.

  • Oh nevermind...

  • I never knew David Lynch Did commercials, Japanese commercials at that. *overjoyed* @.@ thanks

  • That wasn't Harry right?

  • LOL! Yeah I'm pretty sure that wasn't Harry ;)

  • Who wouldn't love a trip to Big Ed's Gas Farm?

  • you driving?

  • coffe in a can?...Another of those disgusting american ideas!!

  • I don't know who was the first to put coffee in cans, but i was under the impression that Georgia coffee was as Japanese as it got. A quick look at Wikipedia shows its made by Coca Cola, but it's only for a few select markets in Asia. It is not sold in Georgia.

  • @zaalouk It's clearly a japanese product you dumb fuck

  • Good commercial, but the coffee is really nasty.

  • "It's true."

  • Damn fine coffee in a can.

  • I'm not sure what to think..

  • WOW!

  • Oh my god!

  • Are you sure David directed this? Or was it just with the characters from Twin Peaks? It doesn't look like David's style at all.

  • I don't know, he's done plenty of ads, and that shot where the beans turn to coffee seems like his work.

  • Wow, I can't beleive they would sell out the show like that after they claimed to have so much "artistic integrity".

  • Artists have to live off something too.

Love and alcohol just isn't enough.
