Yeah, this is Powderfinger when they were a real rock band, before they turned all pop rock. Witnessed many small Adelaide powderfinger moshpits back in the day. Crammed into the Tivoli Hotel or the Synagogue. They rocked hard back then. Double allergic was the beginning of the end. I noticed how the crowd changed from the real rock fans to the top40 people within the space of an album. Oh well, at least we can still listen to Reap What you Sow and Parables and reminisce. Im old haha.
cant believe they hav changed so much. their music used to be good compared to their late stuff. just like silverchair they lost their real feeling for music.
@cyprokka Although I too am a fan of Silverchair's earlier stuff as opposed to what they're doing now, i think it's only fair to say that both bands just developed into different genres of music in their later years.. Powderfinger's more recent stuff is a more aussie pub rock which suits them, they were pretty quick to get out of the grunge mould
This is by far their greatest song!!!! In my opinion>>>> I personally carn't listen to their music beyond this album, but this song gave me goose bumps when i was 14 and still does 16 years later.... Absolutely brilliant track!!!!! Thanks guy's
best off Parables.... just behind "stitches" off the Mr Kneebone ep as far as the pre- double allergic tunes go for myself, stitches/pick you up the perfect balanced combo
Oh this is the Powderfinger I fell in love with!!

I think this is one of powderfingers best albums.. And i find it funny that there are people out there that don't even know it exsists..

They look like soundgarden imitators here. I prefer their melodic stuff when they wrote better tunes.
