Great song! I like the way the singer use the metaphor. Generally speaking, tides and rocks would go against one another, but still there is something beautiful comes out of the encoutering--the music of the ocean. The song writer can project the positive thought on something that others would otherwise see it as negative. That's reason I like the musick. So, the rocks need the tides, not going against each other. Well done.
