I think the western orchestral version is better. Western orchestra's sounds are more abundant and it can keep the Chinese taste and feeling. Also Chinese version is not bad. Their skills can keep in high level too. But the voice is not enough. Chinese version's disadvantage is lack brass. If the Chinese orchestra can add brass ensemble, it will be more abundant and grand.

it's called "erhu"; "er" meaning two. hence, it is a two-stringed instrument.
