I must say I love the usage of the Toccata as the recessional music. Very dramatic and beautiful. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary recessed out to that music as well during their wedding in 2004.

Ok what with the ugly carpeting? looks like it needed a good scrubbing. And the Queen dresses the way a person in her position dress. She was brought up with that sense of duty. Whether or not it stylish not, that is a matter of personal opinion. I am gratified that she is who she is.

Regarding why people see the Queen dress dowdy, she's the head of state. She tends to dress conservatively. Margaret had a bit more freedom in terms of her dress & behavior, especially once her sister had children.

@wl03bu Yes. You'll also notice that during the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales, the royal family sat on the right side of the altar while the Spencers sat on the left. It has nothing to do with bride's side or groom's side.

and princess anne's daughter in law is called AUTUMN. isn't that a lovely name for a girl? When I think of Autumn, i see the brown leaves falling, i see london, not many tourists in autumn yet you can still smell the autumn in the air, as if the aura of all the summer tourists was still there, london, apart from the rain, is lovely in spring and autumn. see it b efore the crowds come or, better still, after the crowds have gone home. AUTUMNIN LONDON IS RELAXINGAND LOVELY.

@yakk13 The Queen was always a bit dowdy, I suppose, if you compare her with a younger Princess Margaret.

Yet, she aged gracefully whilst Margaret didn't. As a Southern Irishman, I am a Royalist!!! And why not? If you ask most of uswho the best Royal ever was, we would probably reply either The Late Queen Mum or the Late Poor Princess Diane. Coome over here and carry out a survey, will ha, Yakk?!!

Helicopters used to land in the field next to my old Nursery school! Princess Anne was coming out of the helicopter once and everyone ran out to see Princess Anne! None of the nursery children had ever seen her before but it was a special surprise!
