@MaximusDisplay You could spend all your life in a monastery practicing meditation and could never, ever reach anywhere near what a 15 minute DMT trip will deliver. Meditating you will never actually leave your body, Meditating is completely different from tripping. I meditate while tripping sometimes to be centered in my body. Psychedelics show you entire universes that are impossible to reach through meditation even for the dali lama. Also they contain certain voices.

@1FutureMarine1 First of all you can never prove anything is actually the way you perceive it to be, even me and you watching the same event, we receive different protons hitting our eyes. Essentially my reality is real to me and yours to you and no further. The only thing that matters in this world is helping those around you to have a better life, to learn and love. what if u live in an area where you have no acess to psychadelics? what if u could achieve states like that with out the use of drugs? if you need the drugs to expirience those states then isnt your consciousness bound to the drugs? they dont give you anything more than what you already have... idk just speculation, what do others think?

@timone1002 As someone who has taken a considerable amount of psilocybin I guarantee you there is no way to achieve this altered state of consciousness without some sort of drug. Things like meditation and yoga can get you one or two steps there, but they aren't even close. Cannabis, psilocybin, and DMT are all natural drugs from the earth, and they are the only ways known to access the Gaian mind.

this is partly true, you don't need drugs to understand real things and relationships in the world. but the problem is, and this is one the Terence is speaking of here, is that we are incapable (it seems at this point) of KNOWING/SEEING that this is the case until we have these drug experiences. the drugs are a kind of 80% success rate sort of thing. In my experience, a 100% success rate. that means every time I saw this potential, and sometimes I actualized it.

It is normal to freak out. If you feel a deep fear or anxiety, that anxiety is real, if you are afraid it is because you should be afraid, if you feel unsafe it is because you are unsafe. If there is someone you feel a mistrust for, that person should not be trusted. These are all feelings you need to confront. These are the things that psychedelics expose to us. This is how psychedelics improve our lives. You did not see these things before, but they are all very important issues.

@sparticaldidit Any suggestibility a person carries with them is not affected one way or another by psychedelics. These Mind enhancing chemicals merely magnify what is already there. Like looking at yourself with a microscope. It is as important to have these experiences as it is to grow through puberty and to have sex. Who shouldn't believe what they experience? What you propose is to tell your own mind it's not real? That is what causes psychosis in weak people.
