@BeadTheFreak Dude, stop looking for sympathy on youtube and go see a doctor. Nobody has to use anything to have a shell to protect themselves. Just have the strength and willpower to be hit by the things in life but keep going regardless. Stop obsessing over someone who fucked up their life. Layne was a great singer and wrote some great songs but he is not an angel or anything like that. He is just a man, which is all he'd ever want to be remembered as.

I was waiting for someone to make a video to this song. It was only a matter of time. It's the most meaningful tribute song - from Layne's own brothers. Seven years after his death...

It really is a sad song. As soon as I heard that opening wail, I felt it. And the first words too and the way Jerry sang them: "I don't wanna feel no more." Hits the heart.

I do miss Layne and I always will, but I support the band continuing on. R.I.P. Layne

Continued: I think this is why I am so obsessed with him. I too want 2 leave early. sick of life sometimes, but use to escape. I'm like Layne in other ways I noticd. I'm very open. its who i am & i expect ppl 2 understand & care cuz I dont judge. but most dont. they judge. i'm proud to be gifted & 2 b able 2 feel extremely deep. As painful and as wonderful as life can be, serious heroin addiction makes you feel like you're just never going to see the upside again, and eventually it gets to the point where it becomes hard to remember who you once were. Man, what a great talent he was. What a great guy he was. And what a crying shame, what a huge loss.
