Traversing the Europaweg Suspension Bridge - August 2010

It looks pretty solid to me. I did this walk in 2002 & it is the last stage on the Chamonix-Zermatt Walk (google ken+alpine).

Then, it was a decidedly dodgy stone shoot. The Swiss, bless them, have gone to great lengths to keep this artificial path with splendid views, open.

It is solid. The remnants of the avalanche tunnels traversed the stone shoot beneath us. Still, with rocks bouncing up at us it was still a bit dodgy. We, too, finished the Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt via the Europaweg.
