  • great ive always wanted to go and see another band that plays sd songs ashame i live down under in aussie land these guys do a good job

  • Going to see Nearly Dan is a bit like meeting a cheap, hot looking brass on a Saturday night that does a good job of appearing sophisticated and glamourous. It`s enjoyable , you know it`s wrong and you always feel bad in the morning!

  • Ive seen then many times. I know its enjoyable, but its certainly not wrong and I always feel great the next day.

I get a bigger buzz with ND than when I see the real thing !!!

  • This tempo is too slow. The singer isn't very soulful and the horns are often rythmically incorrect and overpowering / badly mic-ed. It bums me out that this "Nearly Dan" band is the world's premier Steely Dan cover act. I've always dreamed of doing Steely Dan tunes (I'm a drummer) and now I see it's almost impossible to do well. These guys are good and still, they aren't anything like the real article.

  • I was there too that night, I've seen both the Nearlies and the Reallys (that's Don & Walt, by the way) and Nearly Dan are, in some ways, more enjoyable to watch than the real thing. They put everything in to their performance, they aren't trying to play note for note, and it's just great to see The Dan's songs played with love and respect. And by the way, the Nealry Dan geezers have got the chops...
