  • I love them

  • i kno right!! i wud jam wit u! lol lol

  • I love F.H.... I heard that these guy fell out because MS tried to take over the group that Fred started (commissioned) and that's when FH left and started RFC (which is when he wrote the most awesome songs)... glad to see them "wow'ling" out together again!!

  • lol.. Thats funny

Fred didn't start the group... Mitch, Keith, Karl, and Fred started the group.

Marvin Sapp didn't wanna take over the group. How could he? Fred chose Marvin to be in Commissioned.

Fred left coz I think it was always their thing to go solo... Keith left, Fred Left, Marvin left... Mitch and Karl just never released a solo... even newcomer Marcus released a solo in 06.

Mitch has an album though "Still Commissioned," which includes some old songs and remakes.

  • oh yeah marvin couldn't do that lol

  • you are so right carlfoshizi.

  • yeah Fred left because God told him to i think.... he said on one of his DVDs

  • @carlfoshizi what about michael brooks

  • @carlfoshizi thank you!!!!!!!!!

  • @carlfoshizi I cant remember but this sounds like how it was....but All things worked out for the good

  • @carlfoshizi i have the marcus cole cd

  • @BidenGirl8 FH left the group because God told him too. He said in an interview God wanted him to focus on praise and worship music. And that he actually didn't wanna leave the group. But it was important to him to obey God..... And we all known FH became the trail blazer for urban praise and worship music. :-)

  • This performance is really good!!

  • I agree with you about Marvin Sapp! The whole Commissioned group is like that because they have a heart for Jesus Christ. They are committed, consistent, and they have character when it comes to worshipping the Lord. That is how we have to be in our lives. God LOVES a true worshipper!

  • thats what i love about marvin sapp he puts everything he got in his songs. keep praising him marvin.

  • Oh Lord is that Bernie Mac????? 4:53

  • my name is joe I'm from venezuela and I like say that this video is very, very beatiful.

  • Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

    -Psalm 24

  • no thas not bernie mack

  • That is Bernie Mack(RIP) also before him in the early 4:00 you can see I believe Steve.

  • That's Bishop Eric McDaniel from Brooklyn, NY

  • WHY ARE THERE 2 DRUMMERS??

  • ...but don't you feel it though? You feel it, so you know! LOL

  • @shenitria Because one drummer is an original member of Commissioned. The lightskinned one was Fred Hammonds and RFC's drummer at the time and is the one playing the most.

  • @shenitria one is Marvin McQuitty (Fred's drummer) and the other is the Original drummer of Commissioned I believe.

  • what i'm impressed i think they did like 20 somthin songs this one night but each one was just as good as the next they should dead tired but it's just simply amazing

  • they are cuttin it up! lol

  • Yes we talkin' up there with the Temptations Boyz II Men, Jodeci, Take 6 and who ever else you can come up with!

  • this DVD was the bomb!! my dad has it. a lot of the songs on here actually sound better than they did on the CD, which is really saying a lot considering that this is live. they can sing for real.. its not just computer tricks. LOVE COMMISSIONED! :)

  • master

  • whats the drummer name?

  • talking bout the dude on the pearl

  • the red pearl that is

  • Marvin McQuitty

  • classic

  • went to there concert, at wembley conference centre, London, 1991, gosh, good times!!!

  • OK.....the band is seriously jamming on the song "Let me tell it". It's funny watching the horns and marvin sapp get jiggy at 6:35 and 6:48. Priceless!!

  • Fred is a beast

  • amen to that !

  • Marvin was getting down in the drop won't he!!

  • marvin was popping...lol

  • I LOVE dis' song especially Fred. He is ssssoooo talented.

  • Does anyone know the number of drummers that played this track? I can see three. Am i right?

  • just 2. commissioned's original drummer michael williams and the drummer from r4c.

  • you mean 3 of the greatest worshippers Marcus cole is no joke the boy is annoited check out his song bless my soul he signed with CeCe winans label

  • YALL BETTER SANG!!!! This group produced two of the greatest worshippers-FRED HAMMOND and MARVIN SAPP!!!

  • FRED HAMMOND!!!! Psalmist...Minstrel...What else can I say. When he sings under that anointing it's like when David played the harp to chase the evil spirits away from King Saul. Love Marvin too!

  • i wonder if anybody has running back to you by commisioned i love that song.

  • Love this!

  • LUV IT!

  • No one can beat the Harmonizing stuff of Commissioned....!!

  • i love this version of king of glory

  • Ok, I have a question for the panel. I know that both of these groups are great in their own right, but if you had to choose one, would it be the Winans or Commissioned?

  • Winans!

  • the Winans were no joke...but Commissioned, in my opinion had a greater impact on the gospel music community. and i can't think of one commissioned cd that didn't have at least six slammin' tracks on it. and their were usually more. they are both great. no real need to compare them

  • winans by far... talked about God all the time in their songs...

  • Commissioned... no doubt... Wake up people.... but it is choice

  • To all the Commissioned Fans out there I've compiled all of the group's projects and most of the groups hottest tracks from the first album in '85 thru '2000...can't get too much from the baddest group around...truly Gospel Legends!!

  • god knows my family listened to commissioned

everyday before church after church, school on the way to church conventions thank you and GOD BLESS.

  • Help me lift Jesus higher and higher! With pleasure!!! The best gospel band EVER, just how many secular groups have tried to copy the Commissioned harmonies over he years? Boyz to Men,112, Jagged Edge, Mint Condition and the list goes on and on and on and on...

  • Commissioned My favorite group of all music. NOone could harmonize better than that group. No Group period. I wish I was there at the reunion. Ever since their album in 92, they've been a tremendous inspiration with me and in music. Commissioned

    God Bless ya'll...
