Fujifilm Finepix JX400 16MP Photo Quality Test

I got one of these for my daughter as a Christmas present. White balance is obviously fubar as everything under artificial light has a red cast. Any ideas what this might be before I take it back? Obviously an unreliable piece of shit with no quality control. Why didn't I buy a Canon!!!!!!!!!!

got one of these and the picture quality doesnt seem as good as my 12 MP camera and the images have a yellow tint to them, any idea how to remove that tint?

I bought one and have to say that the video quality is ok but the photo quality is the worse ive seen in a 99$ digital camera. It says 16 mp, but to me it looks like 5mp scaled up. Very bad focus, poor color quality.

@AikaDayCare I am not very satisfied with the camera myself. Video is...meh. Photos, I use my iPhone 4 instead, the focus is really bad and rarely works with the Fujifilm. Good thing it was only $99 and not a DSLR; I think I'm going to purchase a better advanced PAS (point and shoot) or a beginners DSLR soon, within the next six to eight months.

I don't think this a good camera, I think this is rubbish make but my old camera samsung is much better than fuji, I stick with samsung

What's the optical zoom, as that's far more important than digital?

@MilesGos Thanks, there is a 5x "wide" 28mm optical zoom on the camera. When I zoom into something, it doesn't become blurry otherwise. Was planning on making a video with it today.

I'm thinking of purchasing this camera at the end of this week, however I saw another video on YouTube that utilizes its HD 720p recording capabilities, and it seems to cut out the sound when zooming in.

Does this happen with yours too? If so, does it prove to be a significant interference when you personally are recording?

That is one of the only cons about this camera, when you zoom in, the audio briefly pauses until you are done using the zoom button. For me, it isn't a big problem because I use it for tech videos, and I usually voiceover the cameras audio with my separate Blue Snowball microphone. Yes, it does have sharp 720p HD recording and a 16MP camera, so for the price ($99), it is a really good deal. I would recommend this camera.

@ManosHD what else do you want to see pictures of? lol, well flowers have a nice variety of different colours and shades, so it would be a good test. and i had nothing else to photograph.
