the wavelength should be marked, not the Hz because you explicitly said that a wavelength is defined as from one compression to an adjacent compression
I love this video. I am studying to be a sound engineer and want to study every aspect of sound. Do you know about dc offset. I am still trying to understand it. What causes it?
The DC offset can be regarded as a component added in the signal which has the frequency = 0.
Although it's very common in electronics and signal processing, it can be found in real life if we go up the mountains and our eardrums are pushed a bit outwards by the air pressure difference, we say a negative DC offset was added. Even if we can't hear 0 Hz sounds, the elasticity and mobility (amplitude) of the eardrum will be reduced, thus the hearing drops. This until the pressure re-equalizes.
