went to the game tonight against the Pens, My first ever Pens roadgame(Pitt4Dal3SO) great game, great atmosphere, Dallas fans were pretty cool too but I've had this song stuck in my head since the first goal was scored,
I was at the game against the Oilers today where the Stars won 4-1. This is my second game this season and it only took 2 games before I started to sing along with the song and I think it's pretty good

Those of you that have been to the AAC during the preseason also notice the lack of the Pantera "Dallas Stars" song? There is also a new goal horn treatment that sounds disjointed at best. This new goal song with the siren is not going over well in the building. There are some other notable differences in the AAC between Jeff and Bill that make the place no longer feel like home to the fans...how about the players?
@GunnerStars99 I don't miss "Darkness" so much...never thought we should play a song for the opposing team scoring. The AAC is starting to sound less like a place to play hockey and more like the Adventure Club on The Edge. Might as well sell some board space to the Lizard Lounge...
Wow! I can't believe this is the Stars fanbase that I am a part of. I am ashamed right now. Jeff was trying to motivate the fans and all any of you do is complain. This is not 1999! It's 2011. That team is long gone...so get over it! I was there when we won the cup. I am proud to say we won the cup. But, this is not that team. You can either accept that or find a team that never changes...like the Habs.

It's boring, repetitive and does nothing to "motivate" anyone. Worse than the "deep in the heart of texas" abomination they tried last year or the year before.

@goathead901 The tradition that was shared with 90% of other sports teams in US. I am LOVING it. Looking to turn the page on a few bad years, and kicking Gary Glitter to the curb is just fine by me. Let's let winning be the tradition from now on, instead of Rock 'N Roll #2.

Better yet, ask the Flyers players how they felt every time they had to listen to it being played as they saw their chances to win the cup slipping away. Although I hate the diminished role of the horn after the goals, the change is not that big a deal. Can't wait to hear it live on Oct. 7th - GO STARS!!
