  • CS7 is great inside zone 1. But I've ridden it down to Colliers Woods and down there it's both a joke and a nightmare cum deathtrap. CS3 out to Barking is MUCH better in comparison. Much closer to what a super highway should be like although the London end drops you into heavy traffic. The highways needs to link up in the middle with proper safe central London corridors.

  • The one across Southwark Bridge has turned out ok after all as it is separate from the main road. But they kinda dump you onto heavy traffic when you arrive in town. Nice effort, but not perfect. In Germay, for example, cycle lanes tend to be clearly marked on the footpath to share with pedestrians. and pedestrians are also expected to stay off them, the same way cyclists are not straying onto the pedestrian bit.

  • These 'superhighways' are a joke ! Have a look on this site what they do in Utrecht, and othe european cities to see what a real cycle path should look like - our blue painted roads appear very dangerous to me and poorly thought out . In short a 'gimmick'

  • wow..virtual cycling..handy it is virtual cos the kid woulda been splatted by a bus by now by the looks of the traffic zipping along there..

  • @TheFreeman35 my local main road. You can't get too relaxed on here!
