As much as I like Scott I disagree with him, I dont think the US will attack Iran because of the following; IAEA and joint intelligence report say Iran is not building a bomb. No evidence to show Iran is aiding Iraqi resistance. Israel has failed to destroy Hezbollah. Record Oil prices. Economic downturn. Iraq wont sign US forces status agreement. US still heavily involved in Iraq + Afganistan. Strong public opion against. Military not in favour. Many Hawks out of US admin; Don R. Paul w Bolton

Also steps have been taken to make diplomatic effort, US to open diplomatic outpost in Tehran. Also pre conditions for talks have been some what disgarded although this is also coupled with baseless sanctions.
