@bdfsyuew My mother didn't want to see this movie because she remembered a different Matilda, but we watched it and the next day she said she could relate to her because she was the same way growing up, her parents didn't like her, never knew her, she was the smart one, always loved to read, they hated that, etc. they were just for having a good time and her mother especially hated anything that required thinking, and today her mind has turned to mush.

I still read a lot and making my own personal library, it's a joy seeing all those books on the shelves, and I'm lucky enough to live right next the public library! :) I think that these places have something...fascinating, and it's a shame children today are losting all kinds of imagination.
