My friend has a Jack the ripper dominant AOS and it is a little taller/faster in veg, He also got pretty much an identical black cherry soda but the buds are honestly crazier looking than the pics of it I have seen, the berry scent that comes off of the purple pheno is like HEAVENLY BERRY FUNK! you dont have to use chemicals to make feminized seeds.also some very good breeders make fem seeds.and if they are made right,they shouldnt be more prone to herm than plants from regular seeds.
@OreganicLiving no you dont stress a herm you stress a female into producing pollen.you then either use that pollen to polinate a female or you let the plant polinate itself.all strains of cannabis have the herm trait in their dna.this is why any strain from regular seeds or fems can herm.if fems were so unstable they wouldnt be so popular.and fem breeders like dinafem and big buddha would quickly go out of business.they have to make sure their stuff is reliable.

@SKeTChyGr0WER personally, i find jillybean needing to be transplanted because of how it get's rootound, if you take clones then i guess for scientific inquiry on how it tastes/smells then yea, 1g pot should be fine for flowering, although i guarantee it will get rootbound in that tiny pot.

I love your genetics but how about something leaning towards the heavy Indica side. I know your more of a fan of the sativas wich I dig just an idea. Hey Sub, what happened to strains that smelled like (a skunk's ass), back in the day? Now days all skunk strains are fruity smelling. I understand that some people dont want to grow smelly strains. But as a patient I for one have been looking for something that smells like straight skunk butt. Any suggestions as to why this happened. Or am I sniffing up the wrong avenues lately?

Hey Subcool, love your gear! Recently I've bred a new autoflower with a friend using my best male Jillybean/Chernobyl. We don't believe BX'ing the auto mother will improve quality or stability. Should i use the M/F's with auto traits we have together or cross these males with non auto females that show promise? we will keep at it till f4's if we need.
What I'm trying to say is that I think your show is important for the medical cannabis industry. You're doing a great job, keep it up. Don't let the haters get to you, they just like the attention. Oh, and another suggestion could be to include some more guest appearances of people behind the scenes, that help you be the grower you are.

I'm the lucky guy that finds seeds in the bottom of his nug jar.

Hey sub, thanks. I used to veg under 24 hour light, but my friend told me alot of the problems i was having, like slight nitrogen, and Cal/mag def's, were because my plants were tweaking, so long. After i gave them 4 hours to sleep, they started greening up, wihtout increesing food. The Cheese cut i have, starts flowering on 18/6. Not the little pistils, with a tiney calyx. im talking full on christaly calyxes. They dont form budds though. That strains to finniky, so i killed the mother off.

Imop these breeders along with yourself are the best breeders out there today. The 3 breeders are bodhi from bodhi seeds, JJ from top Dawg seeds ,and OgRaskal from OgRaskal genetics. @bret if your wondering about cloning a flowering plant because you want to save a strain.. go for it... although it will take a while to snap out of flower it will still root like any other clone...they will reveg faster if you take almost all the buds but the top one.
@uramag7 oh no. Ive done it lots of times. What it was, was on the last episode, I wanted to clear up what he said about not beleving in genetic drift. I had mentioned times that i cloned plants in flower, and how bad they drifted. One brought out hermie traits, after i did that. If i ever do want to keep a strain im flowering. I can wait till i harvest, and leave a few little popcorn nugs on there, then put it back into veg. The nugs stretch out, and re veg, but grow wierd leafs.

When I went into my first MMJ club ever, I picked up a West Coast Cannabis issue. The 1 before the Jack Herer addition. They showed some Appolo13, and then showed some Bubble from it. It looked just like the FMCD in your 90Ui bag, in the hash video from way back when. Also the super soil video is kinda silent. not to argue but in my experience by using stressed herm plants you are basically reinforcing some of those recessive traits into their genes.
it might be a few generations in but it will pop up somewhere an there will go TONS of work and time.
maybe other people disagree this is just what I have experienced

Sub I made some Pure Afghan X Strawberry cough and im not going to be keeping the mom or dad. I have a plant max of 4 veging plants and 3 flowering. Withough suggesting I move what would be the way you would go about pedegree breeding theise seeds? Should I take pictures, notes and freez pollin so I can have more males to pick from when I fined the female I want to keep.

Hey Sub, what happened to strains that smelled like (a skunk's ass), back in the day? Now days all skunk strains are fruity smelling. I understand that some people dont want to grow smelly strains. But as a patient I for one have been looking for something that smells like straight skunk butt. Any suggestions as to why this happened. Or am I sniffing up the wrong avenues lately?

Hey Subcool, love your gear! Recently I've bred a new autoflower with a friend using my best male Jillybean/Chernobyl. We don't believe BX'ing the auto mother will improve quality or stability. Should i use the M/F's with auto traits we have together or cross these males with non auto females that show promise? we will keep at it till f4's if we need.

What I'm trying to say is that I think your show is important for the medical cannabis industry. You're doing a great job, keep it up. Don't let the haters get to you, they just like the attention. Maybe your show could be shorter... with structure. ex: some news (about medical cannabis industry: good, or bad) to start the show, instead of answering dozens of questions, pick the 5 best questions from previous post, That's my opinion, I hope it helps you to stay motivated. I've only ever grown one plant to flowering but all this info will help for the next batch. Who knows, I may even try some of your strains. I'm the lucky guy that finds seeds in the bottom of his nug jar.

Hey sub, thanks. I used to veg under 24 hour light, but my friend told me alot of the problems i was having, like slight nitrogen, and Cal/mag def's, were because my plants were tweaking, so long. After i gave them 4 hours to sleep, they started greening up, wihtout increesing food. The Cheese cut i have, starts flowering on 18/6. Not the little pistils, with a tiney calyx. im talking full on christaly calyxes. They dont form budds though. That strains to finniky, so i killed the mother off.

What up sub like the vids! I was wondering if you have ever grown or tried any of the gear from these breeders and what your thoughts were about them as breeders. Imop these breeders along with yourself are the best breeders out there today. The 3 breeders are bodhi from bodhi seeds, JJ from top Dawg seeds ,and OgRaskal from OgRaskal genetics. Rite now most of the gear I grow comes from these breeders. Thanks for all you do again love the show !!

@bret if your wondering about cloning a flowering plant because you want to save a strain.. go for it... although it will take a while to snap out of flower it will still root like any other clone...they will reveg faster if you take almost all the buds but the top one.

@uramag7 oh no. Ive done it lots of times. What it was, was on the last episode, I wanted to clear up what he said about not beleving in genetic drift. I had mentioned times that i cloned plants in flower, and how bad they drifted. One brought out hermie traits, after i did that. If i ever do want to keep a strain im flowering. I can wait till i harvest, and leave a few little popcorn nugs on there, then put it back into veg. The nugs stretch out, and re veg, but grow wierd leafs.

@c99kush Yeah. i notice that too. One thin i just found out the other day, from Jorge Cervontes's live stream, is that strains or bacteria, and cannabis has varietie's. This messes with my head, because ive allways called them strains. Everyone calls them strains, so I guess all of us say it wrong.lol. Jorge said he wont answer a question about cannabis, if you use the word strain. He says only if were talking abotu trichoderma, or somthing. lol. Im gona keep saying strain. Strands dumb

When I went into my first MMJ club ever, I picked up a West Coast Cannabis issue. The 1 before the Jack Herer addition. They showed some Appolo13, and then showed some Bubble from it. It looked just like the FMCD in your 90Ui bag, in the hash video from way back when. Also the super soil video is kinda silent. I turn my volume up on my youtube, computer, and speaker's, but still cant hear what your saying. I can find it in a thread, on a forum, but i like the video's. :P

hey sub sorry to bother you again was wondering what strain of yours youd recomend for severe inflamation but will also let my head to be a lil clear to get things done around the house. the reason i ask is because i have Ankylosing Spondylitis and it cause severe imflamtion around my spine that pushes me foward kinda like the hunchback of Notre Dame lol. i get infussions evry six weeks that help but would love to get off these aniinflamatory pills in injections. thanks
