@CELIBERICO I doubt it. If that were the Vatican's aim, it wouldn't have assigned Bishop de Paolis to oversee it. I'll bet the Legion will be unrecognizable by the time he's done, though.

@CELIBERICO It's not that simple, though. The Legion and Regnum Christi were super, super high-intensity organizations. Members surrendered their entire lives, their entire personalities. Supressing them would mean telling 100,000 people, "Have a nice life! Good luck getting deprogrammed!" The approach the Church is taking -- remodeling their home drastically, but not destroying it altogether -- is much more pastoral and humane.
