I lost my daughter to cancer after 4 long years of suffering, but the point of my saying this, is that I gave all her clothes to a battered women's shelter. Many have to run with just the clothes on their back. It meant something to me for them to go where they would be needed most. RIP to those murdered and bless your hearts.

Im a survivor of child abuse. My mother is still with the man who abuses her. I fear everyday of getting "that call". I wish I could help her but shes too far gone. I have a beautiful family of my own now. My children know love I never knew.
If you are being abused or you know someone being abused speak up. It would of saved my family a million tears and some of these scars if someone had spoken up sooner.
I was a child. I had no voice. Ive tried to get her help over the years as Ive grown but I cant help someone who doesnt want to be helped. Shes an adult and I cant force her to do anything she wont do.
You cannot force a woman to leave because you are not a part of the couple, and do not understand the dynamics of the relationship. It is so easy to tell someone to leave but usually by the time that they are ready to leave, they are so broken mentally that they are no longer thinking that there is a way out. She will have been convinced that the abuser will find her no matter what steps she takes to hide. It is like thinking through a cotton wool stuffed brain....continued
continued 2...She has been forced to let him make every decision for her to the point where she feels that she cannot manage on her own without him. It takes many years of counselling after she has left to try to think for herself again. She is very fragile and totally demoralized. It is a terribly hard step to even decide to leave. Um, 'memyself': making a threat towards someone's life if it is an intimate partner at any time is considered DV! The same thing happened to my family when I was a kid and I saw the whole thing. History sadly repeats itself. My sister is dead, my family shot all the same way.
Where is the domestic violence? To my understanding, he killed the family out of jealousy. I looked at a few websites, and the closest thing to domestic violence was a domestic dispute; which could be anything.

Where is the domestic violence? To my understanding, he killed the family out of jealousy. I looked at a few websites, and the closest thing to domestic violence was a domestic dispute; which could be anything.
