These guys were definately not uncomfortable in front of the camera..totally relaxed and lovin it. So many of the sixties bands were too rigid and fixed in place on stage..plus Lindsey has the best pure rock voice of them all!

The last time I saw them Paul Revere and I think one other original member was playing and Paul Revere's son I believe and they sounded great even without Mark Lindsay.

This 1969 song is an overlooked classic by a great group who went on to become House Band at Disney Land in the USA in 1977 after 13 years of US hits.

It was 1970 at a auditorium in Chicago, I was 12 & a couple of my friends & I went to see The Raiders at my 1st concert. The girls were screaming so much that I could not hear the music, We were so far back that we could hardly see them & my reel to reel tape recorder that I brought to record them broke on me. Needless to say I never to this day ever went to another concert. Total disaster! :(

That is probably from the Brit show "Beat Club", appearing on episode 2 August 1969, especially since this show is b/w and US TV was broadcast in color by then. By '69 their TV appearances were waining off. They made one appearance on the "Red Skeleton" show but didn't perform "Let Me".

I saw The Raiders several times, was soooo in love with Mark Lindsay (I named my female cat Mark Lindsay :) I saw them in '69 for the last time, went to the hotel where they were staying hoping to meet Mark. I didn't, but met Keith Allison and got to "know him better". Of course, I was a lovesick groupie, but don't regret it at all :)

They stopped wearing those outfits sometime during their tv show, which was called Happening '68, and then just Happening. They did because it was affecting how they were perceived because it was starting to affect their career. It's unfair, as many of the groups at the time used gimmicks. You mentioned them also being compared to the Beatles, and the Beatles themselves used their hair style as a gimmick.

I think that this vid is probably from their European tour in 1969.

To my knowledge he still lives in Portland. He was in Hawaii but came to Portland. He may have gone back to Hawaii, who really knows.
