@Snackbar47 You didn't understand my argument. That's your loss. My argument is not that Jason Evert is wrong because he's religious (well, that too hehe.) My argument is that he is not actually doing science, not actually telling us things that are literally "true." He is inviting us to participate in a language game involving practices such as holding off on urges til "the one" comes along. This is purely pragmatic, not theoretical. So the question is not whether it is true.

While I appreciate the intent of this video, this video was pitched to primarily private schools where students had no choice but to attend the assemblies. In a group scenario like that it is much easier to "persuade" individuals to follow the crowd and believe the message of only chastity. What bothers me is not the message, but the way in which this gives students an unrealistic view of the world around them, and doesn't accurately showcase realistic scenarios.

@maintainingMaddie Well, I'd have to disagree with you there haha; I can give you tons of great,, logical reasons that can show the existence of God. And it's actually not an over analysis; the over analysis is our modern day approach which breaks up sex from marriage, children, healthy relationships, trust, commitment and respect for the other person. :P 50% divorce rates don't seem to me like we've gotten better at any of those things thanks to the sexual revolution. :/

I really commend Jason for truly giving a true Christian example.
