  • Thanks a lot! You helped me!

  • To pan and crop, is there a way i can do multiple clips at once on the same file . Or do i have to do each one ? Thanks for the video, helped a lot !

  • This refuses to work for me, when I re-size the clips the black bands on the left and right stay, I can't even get them out by using the event pan and crop, the video gets smaller but the black bands don't move an inch, does anyone have a solution for this?

  • @GentleDementia

Never mind, I got it... I feel incredibly stupid considering what I was doing wrong...

  • saving it as a wmv, no matter what other things i do, makes the video a bit blurry, or not as sharp. it seems to reduce the quality of the video

  • exactly what i was looking for, gonna try this.

  • Is there any way to just "Stretch" the video, because using your method cut's off the bottom of my game HUD.

  • Is there any way to just "Stretch" the video, because using your method cut's off the bottom of my game HUD.

  • @chocoaddcition Ofcourse. :D you go to track motion, play around. :) if you want to "Stretch" the sides, then on the top of the track motion thingy, under the "Present - Untitled (or w/e you have it) " there's some settings (box icons ), go on them with the mouse, and when you see the one named "Lock aspect ratio" click/un check it, and then play around with the box, and you'll see it stretches. :)

  • @iiJessx Thanks for the reply. :). I managed to figure it out for myself in the end anyway though :D

  • Hi Rich, its so nice of you to help the beginners like us. I tried the same what you did in you last video..render high quality into smaller size. But the output video quality is not at all good and file size also goes upto 300MB. kindly suggest.

  • It doesn't work for me. Whenever I try to render my project it says an undetermined error has appeared. And I followed all the steps.

  • Thumbs up if the widescreen setting cuts off some edges of your video (More then the black, useless ones -.-) and it is faster, easier and better to just go to the properties and uncheck "Maintain aspect ratio".

  • OH GOSH!THANKS SO MUCH!I WAS SEARCHING FOR IT LIKE MONTHS!OH MAN YOU DID THIS SOO EASY! :D THANKS! ;D

  • I have a question, when i go to do this, see it doesn't give me the WMV V9 option, it gives me the WMV V11 so i select that and do everything as explained, but then I go to render it and it says:An Error Occurred while creating the media file xx.wmv The Template is invalid what do i do about this?

  • Hi my friend I have a problem I was wondering if you could help me with. Ive made a video that has footage from two different movies on a time line that mixes them up. kinda like the terminator vs robocop that you can view on you tube. But my problem is that one of the video is wide screen and the other is full screen. So because of this you can notice when i switch from one video to the other. Is they any way I can make them all one size with out having to start my project again and format 1st

  • Thanks a lot man, I was looking for this kind of tutorial for more than an hour d, you made my day.

I would suggest render to MP4 format as the file size will be much smaller.

  • Thank you so much!

  • Thank you! Here in Brazil, such information has HD quality videos, but was released just the basics. You explained all the information in _Vegas_, information that I needed.

    Thank you for complete information!

  • you didnt mention uncheck aspect ratio!!

  • thank you so much! fingers crossed and i hope this solves all my youtube problems.

  • @PurplexCakes

    Alright, I thumbs down :D

  • This render on my pc takes a long time is there anyway to overcome that?

  • @DrInSaNeRivaL This is normal, since you render it as a .wmv file. They are always pretty big files. You can fix this by rendering it as another file type, like .mp4. It will be still HD, but the video is less sharp.

  • @DrInSaNeRivaL What @guessmylevel says. Its good quality video, and naturally wmv files are large, so its fine :)

  • What if you don't have the HDV option in the properties? I only have about 11 choices.

  • stupid black bars

  • Thank you ive always wanted it to fit the screen

  • i still have some black bits at top and bottom :(

  • @joeb361 On Your Video Clip In Vegas Right Click And Un Check Maintain Aspect Ratio

  • Hey Rich, cool vids, I like your channel very much....

    1 Q

from Vegas 9, is it possible to capture video from the TV with an HDMI cable? I use a laptop. I was using a Dazzle but now I want to capture in HD, is it possible to capture video using only Vegas 9 the TV as an "external device"?

I cant install Black Magic in a laptop.

    Cheers from Mexico.

    Thanx in advance mate!

  • Thanks sooo much! This soo helpful! But i want to know how can i do to one whole channel instead of a single video clip?

  • u r the king omg man ur like the god of tuturials

  • If im using d7000 1920X1080. what should i render as?

  • @TheChengman Go to Files > Properties. HD 1080-24p. Full Resolution Rendering Quality: at Best. Go to render as. Save it as Sony AVC. Template as Internet 1920x1080-25p. Go to custom, Select Audio. Bring the Bit Rate up to 192,000. And the bit rate in the video tab you can mess around with to whatever you prefer. But that's practically it.

  • @HilariousHarace what happens when u bring up the bit rate?

  • @TheChengman The higher the bit rate, the bigger the file size of your final movie. It would mean your video would be in higher quality too, but to a certain point it wouldn't be noticeable.

  • @HilariousHarace isnt it better to upload in wmv? or is sony avc better? and why?

  • @TheChengman The main difference is that Sony AVC saves the video project as an MP4 file, which compared to the WMV, is compatible with a lot more video players like mobile phones. Though the picture quality and resolution are debatable.
