Hey Crystal! Have you considered releasing any of your shows on DVD? I've worked on converting vintage TV shows from 3/4" tape and would love to help if you need it.
@mustbenice96 OMG...did every kid secretly watch that at night? LOL! That was the Midnight Blue and Gay Cable TV channel. LMAO...I do remember that gospel lady show too and the show with the guy reading buddhist teaching with a puppet frog.
this is awesome. my friends and i all produce our own tv shows for public access. its really cool too see what they could get away with 30 years ago....
I saw it too. Remember the edition which featured the Ku Klux Klan?
Notably, the KKK phone-in ('Ring in, ask us ANYTHING!') which attracted only abusive calls, and the spoof KKK disco-dancing, with robed-up KKK activists leaping around randomly firing pistols.
Funniest thing I ever saw, and it suggested that Americans generally despise prejudice, which was then a new idea to a lot of Brits. Great stuff.
Fabulous memories of early Manhattan Cable TV public access programs. This was circa 1974 when service was only $5.00 per month. Thank you Richard Bey, Ugly George, Robin Byrd, Al Goldstein, Fantastic Fran, Richard Roffman and everyone else that gave us the original trash and reality TV shows.
Richard Bey, whilst spoofing as a hi-brow commentator, secretly tried to learn from Ugly George the Ancient Secrets of how 2 pick up chicks so he could get it on with Rhea Perlman (Mrs.Danny DeVito). Howard Stern wuz taking notes...
where is the trailer for the documentary?
