  • I got to see both Studio's "Souvenir" and this production of "Glorious". Very different plays, as "Souvenir"'s dramatis personae are just FFJ and Cosme, while "Glorious" has 6 or 8 characters. I thoroughly enjoyed both.

  • This is an obvious steal of the award winning broadway play Fantasia, which Studio Theater won so many awards for last season. I guess they did not want to pay the royalties!

  • I believe that you are referring to ""Souvenir: A Fantasia on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins," which is the correct title. Glorious is a different play by a different writer, copyrighted and with royalties, which I am sure Dominion has paid.

    It's acceptable practice for someone to write a work based on the life of a real person, who has already been covered by another work, without "stealing" from the other work.
