  • can i have the circuit diagram of this project? please i really need for my project

  • Mr b0gartz , can i have the layout please :)

  • Hello if you guys are still online pls tell me the parts of this demo...

  • This reminds me of games in an arcade that spin lights around and it needs to stop on a certain number

  • will it loop (complete the circle) if there's aprox. 7 milisec to 1 sec flash, in this current setup? ..for example: using it for a car signal / flasher light

  • Can I do this without IC?:D

  • I'd say a 555 and a 4017

  • @wwwGLITCHZcom yes i think it to...but u don`t need an 555, u can use an 4069 with a resistor and a capacitor ;)

  • @Mallewurf sure. but you would have problem in stability of your oscillator

  • @b0gartz yes u r right =)...but for this simple circuit it is enough =)

  • coool

  • ok so you must have a 555 timer with either a decade or binary counter im thinking decade. anyway what do you connect pin 2 (clear) to? ground or vss

  • hey bro can i do that with a LM339 Quad Comparator ? (RADIO SHACK ID: 2761712) please respond. thank you.

  • comparators aren't enough to make sequencial circuits like this.. you still need flip flops. i dont even think you need comparator.

  • Man Thats was really nice, I'm really srry to comment now after such a long time, but could you please send me the Layout, that is very interesting for me of (cause I'm noob at eletronic and other things :P) Tnks =]

  • How did you make this? I want to do one like this one! its awesome!.

  • it's a johnson counter using a CD4017 and an NE555 for the clock signal, johson counter it's lineal but here it's arranged into a circle.

  • For some applications, current-limiting devices such as resistors can be an inexpensive alternative to constant-current drivers for restricting current flow. However, there are many trade-offs. First, resistors generate heat and, therefore, waste power. The heat generated by resistors needs to be dissipated.

  • nice ckt... is this a kit or you designd this yourself?

  • nope. it is a simple circuit that is using s BCD to demimal counter and a 555 timer. the circuit is featured in a Digital Electronics book.

you want to copy its circuit? I can send you its diagram. just mail me.

  • tnx dude..but i already hv one. btw. can you make a circuit that can lit a single white led frm a 220vac source? i tried connecting one but the resistor always burned out. i used ohms law for solvng d resistance.

  • Lol. you must have a regulator and a reversed biased diode in parallel to the LED.

the regulator can be a simple zener diode.

the reverse bias diode can be 1n4001.

two resistor is needed, one on the main to zener and the other is from zener to LED.

you can add capacitor to make it more effective. this circuit requires more components but it is better than just a single resitor.

  • thnx a lot dude. but of course i used diode..forgot to mention it.hehehhehe anyway can i use series cap to regulate the current. i want to maximize the output luminance without damaging the led.i dont want to use zenner diode bcos u have to step down the voltage first.hope u get it.

  • Light output of LED light sources increases with increasing drive current. However the efficiency, expressed in lumens per watt, is adversely affected.

By driving LED light sources with a regulated constant-current power supply the light output variation and lifetime issues resulting from voltage variation and voltage changes can be eliminated. Therefore, constant current drivers are generally recommended for powering LED light sources.

  • In addition, voltage changes from supply voltage variations will translate into changes in light output, and with resistors alone there is no protection for the LEDs to prevent damage from high voltage.

I recommend a voltage regulator at the first stage of the circuit because it is easy to regulate voltage at this condition. after generating a constant voltage source, a simple resistor is possible to make a constant current source..

  • Could you please send me how to make this please? I would like to use 3 white LED and the pace slower, I have no idea about lights and would like it in my GCSE Graphics work to make my display stand look nice as it is not required. Thank you

  • very nice my friend

    i want make it

can u send to me how make one

i will be very happy =D
