  • I know, your back twisting, what a....terrible....idea.

  • This looks terrible for the back twisting with weights seems like a bad idea

  • @CkEOdimen Actually, I've been using kettlebells for about 6 years, performing movements like this. I'm 40, a full time farmer, and I get along just fine. No significant back injuries, in fact, when I need to toss square bales I do it with less difficulty because I'm used ROM.

  • just stupid

  • I recon this exercise would work much better with an indian club

  • Nice movement. You can do this with clubs too.

  • Can someone please tell me the benefits of slashers? I mean it is a cardio exercise or does it have other benefits as well? Thank You

  • @tuneman555 I did it for the first time with the halo move, a 40 lbs kb. 100 rep. it's the next morning and it feels like shoulders, back and abs.

  • Ok ouch

  • 6 people got sliced by the energy sword!

    HOORAH!

  • just don't let go of the bell folks!.... or else you'll be watching how to fix drywall videos -__-

  • can you use a dumbell instead? My gym doesn't have kettleballs

  • The lightest kb i have is a 20kg making this exercise pretty sickening :(

  • 6 people thought about quitting just at the idea of a SEAL.

  • Something I'll have to try...using a light kettlebell like he did of course!

  • 6 people hit themselves in the face when they did the halo.

  • Good exercise. I'll do it tomorrow.

    6 dislikes?

  • Slasher with halo can also be called ribbons. That's what I've come to know them as

  • wow defineately adding this to the routine

  • con you use kettlebells for this too or is it better with dumbels

  • @13thtrece he's using a kettlebell but i like using a plate

  • Comment removed

  • what parts of your body is the slasher for?... thanks

  • @chuck14655 did u ever get a answer as to what part of the body the kettle bell slasher works out?

  • @pcorn915 no i didn't.. do you know?

  • Take a .5 or 1 pood kettlebell - do about 25 on each side and see where you feel it in the morning :)

But seriously - any cross-chop movement like that is going to be obliques. Anything that high overhead is going to be abs and shoulders. Adding the halo extends the ab work and adds some lats / shoulders for stability.

  • @chuck14655 no bro looks cool do im ganna try it out, what ever part of my body is sore the next day will tell me i guess.

  • @pcorn915 - That's why people like kettlebells so much...most of the movements use a lot of muscle groups.

  • @pcorn915 abs... lol

  • i cant really tell what weight of kettlebell he's using. i have never done much with kettlebell how much would be a good weight to start out with on this particular exercise??

  • start at a low number...say 10 or 20 lbs...if it's too easy after 10-12 reps, then increase until you can't do make it at those reps.
