Commercial flights don't take the time to fly aound untill the whole sky is blotted out grey and continue to fly in front of the sun back and forth. I also have seen real contrails and then watched another jet fly though the same air space and leave a HUGE CHEMICAL DUMP!!! The reflectivity of the clouds also suggests chemical particulate.

Oh, brother! There are no such things as "chem"-trails...the last pictures at the end are normal, typical every-day CONTRAILS>Condensation trails. Ice crystals. H2O. Water ice. (And, whatever is also present in the engine exhaust)...the SAME exhaust that is also there on the ground, during taxi...on takeoff, during landing, etc.

Study some real contrail science. LEARN how it works, the H2O comes FROM the fuel. Oh, and the other bits? Research "Cap and Trade", to better grasp it.

As to particulates, they exist, in sufficient amounts, from both natural and anthromorphic sources (aka, human-made pollution...from the GROUND). No "sulfer"required. Do you doubt that cirrus clouds form naturally? How, it's been going on for millions of years. Learn some science, and meteorology. Turbine technology, high-bypass fan engines.

In fact, the ICAO code for "YVR" is, specifically, 'CYVR'. Use that, for future reference. Learn the ICAO codes, too. Might want to learn to fly, would be helpful. So, what "flight paths" don't match?? Using which flight-tracker site?? flightaware(dot)com? Please learn about aviation, I have nearly 40 years .....you have a lot to learn.

@767Captain Curious if you have so many years experience in the air industry maybe YOU can tell me why there are days and nights here in northern BC there are whole fleets up to 30 jets at a very high altitude. Been going on for some time (years) come from the SW heading to NW. Next day they return. Sometimes there is one huge jet flanked on each wingtip by two smaller jets. Tell me what this is.

Explain to ME how on the SAME day I've seen a regular contrails, disipate before my eyes, leaving a short trail that is gone within minutes, then an hour or two later another jet leave a trail that not only last for the day, but over time spreads out and eventually covers the sky. @menacemuzik82 Do you know why do clouds form in different places, and altitudes? Relative humidity and temperature varies throughout the atmosphere. Else, we would not have weather. Contrails vary, just like clouds, in density, shape and persistence...because they ARE clouds. "Cirrus Aviaticus", look it up

Better yet, go learn to fly, and then spend a couple of decades gaining experience, so you won't be so gullible, and uneducated about the science of aviation & meteorology & contrails.

i saw chemtrails over Vancouver on 20/05/2011 at around 2pm...flightpath against the in/outbound airport traffic, with a trail expanding (estimating) to a half-mile in under 20 minutes. it had collected more and more of a fat and puffy
