in the novel "DEATH STAR" It talks about the Death Star's real first victim, it took them 3 blasts to destroy it, yet the blasts were all like 30 seconds apart.

@Draekmus: Unlike The Force Unleashed where they test fired the laser every thirty seconds. I quit playing the force unleased when I got to the death star. That plot left a bad noncannon taste in my mouth. At least I wish the force unleased were completely non cannon. I consider the plot fan fiction.

@Iffy350 Actually, The Death Star laser never fired, at least, not on the same scale as Despayre. Those fires were testing the beam's convergence, and weren't likely put on the "blow up a planet" setting.

Think of it like starting a car VS actually driving it somewhere.

But, also consider that the laser tests were designed as an obstacle. The storyline itself actually ties in quite well. I have issues with the sequel, though.
