OK he is singing, playing the percussion on the guitar, and playing the tune on the guitar with hammer-on and pull offs. Would like to see any of you do that. Great tune, and the guy is obviously oosing talent and he is now all over Radio 1 so thats a huge achievement. Over 10% of the British population listen to Radio 1 so he must be doing something right.

Very rarely would I respond to anything on youtube or anything on the web, but cornflaked, you wouldn't notice a rare talent if it was standing in front of you. Of course musical taste and styles are down to preference and can be subjective. But anyone with a keen ear for music and basic appreciation can spot that Newton Faulkner is an exceptionally talented musician and songwriter.

The instrumentals are fantastic. I've heard this guy's voice, and I think he's got a lot of potential, however, it's not adapted to this song in particular. If you used Jose Gonzalez's voice along with this guy's fingerstyle, you'd have yourself one killer cover.

Original means the first not that it can't be improved! Newton's version is similar to the original but he's recreating the song with just his voice and a guitar which is a little less than Massive Attack's version and that makes it all the more impressive. It's a fantastic song and I love both versions.
