  • The real question is why do you have 3 wah pedals that all sound the same?

  • @371jon shitty amp, they all sound different in person, i have since got a new amp, i could probably do a another video of the Kirk hammett one

  • @Mo7Vsta No offense but don't bother I hate kirk hammett. And ive heard enough of kirk hammett style wah with every single one of his solos. But what amp?

  • @371jon Well I (regretting now) sold the Dime bag so I only have the Kirk and the Original, and the original is kinda broken so =/ The amp used in the video was a line 6 spider III 75w but i have since bought a mini rectifier

  • @Mo7Vsta yes what were you thinking keeping anything with kirk hammetts name on it over dimebags. And i know a lot of people were hating on your playing but heres a little constructive criticism. Just slow down a little. You seem like you have some skills but to me, if you just slowed down what you were playing instead of trying to be really fast (which everyone assumes is what makes you good; false) it would have sounded 10 times better

  • @371jon I like Kirk Hammetts wah tone over the dime? Dime hardly used a wah any way? i feel like thats not why people like him, the hammett wah is more nasally and more of a wah tone to it, cant tell in this vid between the amp and crap camera but its a lot more of a wah, even with the adjustments of that the dime has, its all up to taste, this video is 2 years old now anyway

  • You're a lousy player man get some better tone! They all sounded the same never run 3 wah pedals in your signal!! Steals all the tone away! You should've messed with the tone control on the dime wah and the Kirk Hammett wah they sounded like a regular crybaby.

  • Get a Dean

  • @ChiefGuitars666 a decent pattern would have been boring, shredding stomps all over repetitive patterns. And he doesn't suk at all, he's really good.

  • yeah, you sucks. learn a decent pattern to mess with the wah instead of just going back and forth on the pedal. otherwise it just sounds shitty...

  • you're left footed...ew

    jk

  • @hchoe741 im actually righty, but i just use my left foot when wahing(is that a word?) so i can rest the guitar on my thigh haha

  • y r u so damn scared while talking....ohhhhhheeee

  • good.now go learn guitar.

  • the dime bag is the cleanest one but i wuold choose kirk hammett for personal reasons

  • the kh sounds supreme

  • nothing quite compares to the original :)

  • You should have did the Zakk Wylde one to.

  • @67cgc yeah i know, i don't own it or know anyone who owns it so i couldn't =(

  • @Mo7Vsta nice shoes :3

  • @Mo7Vsta I own the Zakk Wylde Wah it's great it has that troatier sound which i llove!

  • @67cgc CANTRELL?

  • Very nice house slippers dude.....

  • dimebag wah has the best sweep

  • kirks wah.. the king of wah wins hands down

  • kirks wah fuck yea no contest

  • Nice vid dude! How much is the Kirk's pedal?

  • @MrLeonScott last I checked like $150

  • @Mo7Vsta Thanks!! :D

  • nice comp. i have the "original cry baby" and just ordered the DB-1 very dif indeed very tuneable

  • chwalisz sie czy żalisz???

  • could you do a video where you throw mark tremontis wah into the mix? ;)

  • 240p we meet again!

  • I think the dime waw is great. it goes with my Peavey Vypyr 75 amp good to my ears!

  • Metallica sucks...

  • @100saprissa you sucks...

  • @Mo7Vsta And you suck in english

  • @TheMathewO English I spoked good!

  • @100saprissa so does your Mum, but no one is complaining.

  • @100saprissa ...as a metallica fan i have to agree with you .... metallica is just a shadow of itself... james and lars ruined one of the best metal bands to become one, if not the most mainstream metal band ever.... greedy bastards!

  • @RustyPease metallica is mainstream because they are good. people like their music. if it wasnt good they wouldnt be mainstream and the best metal band of all time. Every band would kill to be at the top and the king but you cant do that playing shit music

  • @Mo7Vsta so you wanna say that being mainstream is being good? say hi to justin b. next time you see him -.-

  • @RustyPease Yeah i do. He's good at making 13 year old girls freak out, metallica is good at making music

  • @Mo7Vsta well, they used to, but I think they are coming back to good maybe.

  • In my opinion (ik this wah isn't in the vid) the zakk wylde cry baby wah sounds the best out of all but thats just my opinion

  • kirks is best

  • 1.Kirk Wah

    2.Original crybaby Wah

Sorry Dimebag Wasnt Feeling It :(

    3.Dimebag Wah

  • Cry baby documentary

  • I just got Dime's wah and I'm a bit disappointed because of the boost that doesn't raise my volume when i play with distortion (I use a Modtone MT-EM distortion pedal) and also (when I use distortion) the wah effect is very light. I tried the various frequencies available and still the wah effect is very very light.

    Thanks

  • @zadraluca The boost is pretty noticeable - maybe you have too much gain on your distortion? I made a vid with the dime wah, it's one of the most vocal dunlop's out there if it's setup right. Try keeping the find tune half way and the variable Q almost all the way up.

  • @shredheadmelody thanks but the problem was that I had the wah before the distortion stomp box, now it works and it is damn fucking awesome....... thanks a lot anyway

  • wow man sick slippers haha! oh and the guitar playing was pretty good too =D

  • is Dimebag not Dime Bag

  • All i can say is... Nice slippers

  • hay man is the the schecter omen extreme?

  • @aj2361 yess sir, a 2007 Omen Extreme Special

  • @Mo7Vsta cool im thinking about buying one

  • Yep! Even though I fucking hate sellout Methallica, the Kirk Hammett wah does sound the best.

  • @lute760 mmk

  • Personaly i think the original wah still sounds the best imo

  • @lute760 Sellout? They make more money and better music than you. Stop being a troll

  • @Cyanide5151 I'll bet you want their pickles all up in your stinkhole, huh?

  • @lute760 >Making money doing what you love != Sellout

  • @lute760 Metallica never sell out, they do what they want, they don't owe anybody anything, and they're fucking awesome.

  • @InsaneaTann

this is bullshit... they are a bunch of fucktards!!!

hehe.. just kidding man!! i likes them!!

  • To those who say Kirk over uses his wah, it's shit. He nothing but the solos with wah, and what makes it look over used is that he uses it with his wang bar

  • Nice shoes brah!

  • @tgraham37 Those are fucking Slippers. Dumb Shit

  • AHHHH SPARTAINS!!!! they suck go blue

  • the KH pedal sounds the dirtiest and most interesting. Strangely Dime's was the blendest I thought. I prefer Dime as a guitarist, but the KH pedal is better sounding here.

  • kirk's rules!!

  • The crybaby from hell is probably the best cause it's just the 535q wah but more towards dimes preferences

  • dude that beggining part you play on the pedals is sick man!!

  • Ok I have this really old wah pedal I got for free from my guitar teacher, it's a Morley Black Gold Basic Wah, but when I move into the low ends on it, the distortion gets cut off and sounds all muddy, would it be smart to get a crybaby in place they sound better than the Morley I have

  • @RipzMan24 yeah probably, its probably something wrong with the pot but yeah, i would just upgrade ;)

  • @RipzMan24 The black gold series was early 80s if I'm correct. Very nice wahs and definitely worth it to fix. Very different sound from crybabys and vox's but doesn't mean ones better. Cliff Burton actually used the morley tel ray power wah boost (series right before the b/g) with his bass. The morleys are a simple design and are pretty damn cool for how they work. I'd either sell it to someone who wants to fix it or take it to a tech and spend a few to have it working new.

  • @RipzMan24 I think you just answered your question. Get that other waw. Keep both and maybe try using them side by side to compare. I have the Dime waw. I like it. Ialso have the Vox Big bad waw (satriani's waw). It's a tough battle between those two of mine. I like using the boost button on the side of the Dime waw. Many other things make a difference too. Guitar, Amp, how you plug into your waw... running distortion in front of it etc...

    Follow your ear..... ;p)

  • @RipzMan24 hey man i seen your comment and i hope im not too late but if you place your wah before distortion it works wayyy better. idk where you have it in your chain so if its already in that spot sorry XD

  • that's a F-ing TON OF MONEY worth of Wah pedals there...I'd like to see a comparison of the Wah from Hell & the Standard 535Q Muli-Wah

  • Your fuckin' slippers rule man :O !

Anyway, good vid, the Dime wins IMO.

  • only real men wear slippers!

  • kirk hammet

  • And the winner the original cry cry baby-pedal

  • Dime,s wha is clearly the better of the three. RRR

  • Kirk Hammett is a 12th degree Wah master of course his would sound the best.

  • kirk hammet

  • I owned all the , the kirk hammett one is the best .

  • the only dunlop users who deserve a sig wah are slash, kirk, dime, and buddy guy

  • Honestly the Kirk sounded smoothest! but there all great! ima get the original one tho, and since i have a peavey vypyr 15, id sound nice :)

  • screw all them wah pedals i want the bad ass slippers there man lol

  • I think you mean you tried to be as UNBIASED as you could. Bias means a particular leaning or predisposition. Unbiased would mean treating everything equally, with an absence of prejudice or preference.

  • i dunno....the kh95 blows on a clean channel. the low end crybaby sounds better on clean than the kirk signature...i tried em all at my local guitar store and well if you play with other effects and don't just use high gain distortion the cfh pedal is a lot more versatile...in my opinion

  • Dunlop KH-95 rulezzz

  • KH-95 KIRK HAMMETT SIGNATURE WAH is the best... for this demo...

  • I like kirks

  • What kind of Amp you got there?

  • @MikeTard101 Line 6 Spider III 75 watt

  • awesome pinch harmonic at 2:20

  • ha! now use all 3 at the same time!!!

  • I really would like to know how Dunlop can make so many different signature wahs of such a simple circuit. A wah circuit has been the same for the last 40 years. Just component makes changed. Every guitar idol used the industry standard, the old Dunlop Crybaby. And now, Dunlop comes up with a signature wah every week. Its called marketing. A wah with stripes becomes an EVH signature wah, even though EVH was never a notable wah user

  • @rikardocarvalho i think it comes from the internal EQ and stuff or what ever it is, i mean cuz they all sound different, even it is just slightly. i know that the kirk hammet is different because its all on a circiut board now, there is not a single wire inside besides the wires to the battery compared to the original which has a ton of wires and a small board

  • @Mo7Vsta Yes, now circuits seem more complex because now they have switching capabilites meaning extra buttons that in reality just change some internal resistors values. But the wah circuit is still the same. I know that some guitar heros get their gear modded. Wahs can be modded too. But there are just full hand of mods, and they are all known. Thats why i think that Dunlop is investing more on marketing rather than having really different pedals

  • The only thing that is not that switchable is the inductor. There are 3 or 4 available types. Being the red fasel the most used nowadays. Nothing of this is related to any guitar hero. Even if they had their wahs modded, they were far from being the only ones using it. Thats why i think Dunlop is just taking advantage of boosted sales using "fake" signatures

  • @rikardocarvalho I agree to some extent. I recently played around with the Kirk Hammet Crybaby and did not like it at all. I dont know what it was, but something was very different.

  • @rikardocarvalho

only silly peckers would buy the signature models.. the original Dunlop is all you need folks!!! :)

  • @rikardocarvalho Zakk Wylde actually uses his sig I HAVE SEEN IT!! with my own eyes on the sage in person!

  • @ritehand1 so does Kirk!

  • @ritehand1 Ofcourse he does, He endorses it. Meaning he's paid to use it and probably he gets comissions from the zakk wylde wah sales. The issue is if his signature wah is any different from the one he used before he had a signature wah, and if that one is any significant difference from a normal cry baby

  • i have the dime signature, i think its a great pedal and I don't intend on replacing it any time soon, but if i were to get another id go for the kirk signature

  • @JamesOnPiano just on the original because i broke the wire to the power supply on that one, the other two have batteries in them, but i normally use the power supply

  • Kirk born with a wah.

  • Im trippin, I really like the first one, and its probably 100 cheaper to start

  • kirk all the way... pinoy yan ehh

  • i respect the hell out of dimebag r.i.p dimebag but kirk won that

  • KIRK WINS!

  • Kirk Wins

  • Dime Bag?

  • Kirk's wah is my favourite... but i have a gcb-95 brand new.. Could I modify it to get a similar sound??

  • @stcheeve you can mod it, you can add the Fasel in it but i havent heard a modded one before so i wouldnt know

  • cry baby from hell is the best!!!!! its got alooooooot more range

  • Nice to know there's dudes that still use gain an can shred. Good demo good sir.

    I like the Kirk sig

  • Chicago Iron Parachute Wah blows this shit away.

  • @josueatthebb hm never heard of it, what does it sound like compared to these?

  • @Mo7Vsta Well, I'm not criticizing it's just my opinion but I've tried it side by side with two of those three and other 2 (a morley and the vox) and still Parachute handled distortion better and had a more articulated response... you should try one If you get the oportunity.

  • @Mo7Vsta Chicago Iron Parachute is not really a wah. Its sounds close, but its different. I would say its like comparing a phaser to a flanger. An original pedal can be veryyy expensive

  • you wouldnt expect a guy who wears slippers like that to be good at guitar

  • Eh i like dime's better

  • \m/ Kirk Hammett

  • Thanks a lot bro, I've been trying to decide which wah to get since I don't like my Vox wah wah,

  • I think KH 95 got lower Q

  • hlol Hammett's version pwns.

Then again, I've always loved his wah most...

Nice comparison, and no offense, but your camera's quality looks like a '90s home-video. :P

I mean, you can buy those pedals and all, but not a higher-res cam or something? XD

  • @DamageIncM yeah its pretty crappy haha still uses a tape! cameras aren't on the list to get, if i get a $1000 dollar camera thats a $1000 dollars of guitar shiz or gas or something haha

  • @Mo7Vsta

    Yeah, cameras are mostly expensive.

But you could get some HD-webcam or something, under 100 Dollars maybe.

Or at least some better camera thing, don't you have a photo-cam with video?

Could work if you want to make more videos.

  • @DamageIncM yeah i know, im not making videos everyweek or anything so i dont really need it, the sound is actaully not bad and thats what really matters i think

  • @Mo7Vsta $1000? Whaa? You can get an HD camera for $300...

  • @DamageIncM good wah for mainstream music

  • I got this Behringer hellbabe wah pedal and it sounds pretty fuckin sick! You have this distortion boost on it aswel which is cool from time to time :P

  • Nice demo. I had different opinions on each depending on the riff that you were playing

  • GO SPARTANS!!!

  • I dont like the sound!!

  • I dont like the sound

  • the kirk wah is great but dimebags is far superior. it has a volume booster switch(great for adding a little juice whilst soloing) and a modulator knob so you can alter the range of wah. this is only my humble opinion tho

  • kirk*

  • i have a spider iv line 6 15w amp and i'm planning to buy a wah pedal, will i get a good sound with the krik pedal? it's like 50% of price in the shop so it's just about 20 euros more expensive then a normal cry baby gcb95

  • @Mo7Vsta, I do use the normal clean channel for distortion but it seems to give like almost no Treble even if I turn it to full. Putting it on the Metal or Insane channel would just give it an annoying fuzz including screeching. Maybe it's worth me just getting another amp not built in with all the effects.

  • @Mo7Vsta. I have a line 6 Spider III amp as well but mine is only 30w. I have only got one pedal which is the Digitech death metal distortion pedal but when I use it with my amp it sounds pathetic. It sounded much better on my old 15w training amp. Do you know if this is because the amplifier is already built in with effects giving like a negative effect with distotion pedals or is there another reason? To me this is confusing because you seen to be using pedals just fine without problems.

  • @Metalhead7654 well if you are trying to use it on top of heavy distortion from the amp, that might cause problems, with crappy modeling amps pedals aren't really too useful, but try dialing in a clean or dirty tone then turn on the pedal and work from there, i think just having the amp cranked then adding the pedal makes the bad tone

  • They all sound the same.stick withe the original its just as good and will save u a hell of alot of money...Who gives a shit about a signature wah.

  • personaly i prefer the tone of kirks sig wah over dimes but i like dime much better.....oh well lol hammet pedel here i come.

  • Love the guitar. I got my Hellraiser C-1 not long ago. I can't play it like that though :/

  • what about the rocktron wah pedal?

  • What distortion are you using????

  • @ramarazzz its the amps distortion

  • @Mo7Vsta what amp

  • @ThatJustHappened14 a line 6 Spider III 75w

  • hammet was heavier? WTF??? U ARE SAYING THAT METALLICA IS HEAVIER THAN PANTERA? LOLLLLLLL

  • dime has a batter tone. hammett was heaver. but hell thats all kirk uses. i swear to god when kirk farts you hear a wah.

  • @elvisdustin what a badass fart :3

  • Actually, the voicing on the Jerry Cantrell wah kills this wah. Of course, that's just my opinion.

  • excellent demo.. thanks

  • i'd go for the kirk one, just an opinion, i know darrell is a better guitarist, but then again, the guitarist doesn't matter, just the wah

  • i go for the original

  • DimeBag!!!!

  • I have the dime and it's fucking awesome on this the hammett sounds a little better but he could of set the dime one up a little better to make it almost like the Hammett

  • Just gotta ask, whats up with the green slippers?

  • @Voyevoda911 they are Michigan State Slippers ;)

  • o cara ta tocando de pantufas ha ha ha, apesar de preferir mais os solos do dime do que do kirk o wah do kirk pra mim foi melhor, mais bem definido, faltou o original da vox e o do slash pra comparação completa dos tops

  • i have both the Dime and Kirk wah and ill say both pedals are freaking amazing. i did buy the dime pedal first i was 16 when i got it and used that till they released the KH. i do favor the KH a little more but that's only due to the reason my main guitar i use is a KH 202, i still use both at gigs when i feel i need to let my guitar squeel and wake people up ill use my Cry baby form hell and let out a dime bomb

  • the sweep range of the Hammet wah is the best.!

  • @ironmaiden2551 no way, dime bags is the best!!!

  • @maxuana baboww!!

  • Does it matter what type of amp you have to be able to use a wah pedal?

  • @Gamfreekz no it doesnt, but it will sound different through different amps
