haha jks, i read your thing, it IS the same place!! omg haha idk y i got so excited. i don't really trust ppl with my hair, so i asked for the 2nd best hairdresser there.. and i got this guy named Jack So, if i remember correctly.. he did a pretty good job.. :)
Yes it was done all in one day... it took about... almost 3 hours? It was a little while ago so I can't remember. But I think they started at around 10pm and finished around 12:30am.
yea, they had to bleach it twice (in that same night- time period) to get it that light. and since you're a guy, if you don't like it then you can just shave your head! (unlike me, i'm just letting it grow out for now.. but it's not as blonde, i've dyed it a few times since)
The stylist did a good job, because getting a certain color for any hair can be a pain, money is not the most important...As for Mainlain China, I live there for quite a while prices vary from province to province...The south is a little higher in price...
In Mexico. Cut, dye and highlights are ONLY 15 dollars USD. That's nuts. I knew someone who went there but she gave them a 50 dollar (USD) tip because she felt that they did a really good job and their eyes poped out.
hair is always cut after bleaching because bleach dries out the hair a lot and the ends are very likely to split so they have to cut them afterwards to prevent splitting
gotcha. anyways, keep us updated with your hair colors. is it true that in China salon services are cheap as 3 dollars USD? cuz that's crazy I can't even get a haircut where I live for under 50 bucks
i dont know how much it is in mainland china, but in hk its not that cheap. everywhere is pretty standard. 98 hkd for cut, shampoo, and dry. thats like 12 usd.
and i just dyed my hair 2 days ago. it was whole head just trying to make it darker so that i wouldnt have to dye it anymore as my roots grow out. i figured going light to dark wouldnt be a problem so i used a box. it was. it was supposed to be dark brown turned out almost the same just a bit redder. most of my friends cant tell... =\
12 dollars USD is really cheap to me. I live in Texas, unless you go to supercuts or great clips (which is 13 dollars) . Over here it's 40 USD to 130 USD. The thing about it is, I have coarse asian hair and most places doesn't even know how to use thinning shears. >:O so I PAY MORE!
Thanks, It's actually gone now =P I went to the same place and had it dyed a bit darker once my roots came out. (I'll have a vid of that soon) anyways... I'm an exchange in HK so yea for now I live here.
I went to @ hair in Mong Kok. It's pretty much right across the street from the Argyle Center (exit D2). Orange signs. 2nd floor, right above the Quicksilver. They're really nice and I think they do a pretty good job too. =)
uhh... don't laugh at me cause this might be a stupid question, but what's a "one off"..?
I've never heard that phrase before.. I think I might know what you mean but... ok nevermind, I don't think I do. well maybe.
Anyways, thanks! =)
Well, now that I know what it looks like this light I'm going to go darker. When my hair strengthens up and my roots become noticeable then I'll go dirty blonde/ light brunette.. then work my way darker.
Toning hair is done to neutralize brassy (yellow or yellow/orange) pigments. After bleaching hair you use hair toner because bleach leaves the hair in a raw-pigment state , you need to add back pigments to create a "natural" look, a really nice healthy blond color. You can always go to the beauty supply store and do it yourself or have a friend help you out. They sell bleach and toner and the directions are very clear, hope this helps. Keep up the vids!!
do they even make grape yogurt?

Epic Fail, They forgot to use a toner to take out the yellow brassiness, and they should have cut the hair before they bleached it.

Oh yea, I'll most likely never do it again. Once is enough.
Yes, I've done red, and I've also had the red once the brown fades. haha

Hey Karina, your hair looks awsome are you going to keep it that blonde or is this a one off?

Well You got what I meant I think but I meant are you going to do this once. Anyway It looks great but have you ever considered dying your hair red?
Chartley1983 3 years ago
ya, i agree with phipg1, you need a toner or something so its more blond than yellow but it looks good;)
SaltAndHotSauce 3 years ago
Thanks =)
I've never done this before.. I don't even know what a toner is. What's a toner?
As for the eyebrows, I'd like to go medium brown with them.. but I don't want to risk making them orange or platinum..
Once my hair strengthens up a bit and my roots grow and and become noticeable I plan on dying it again to dirty blonde/ light brunette..

but i'll keep an eye out for that stuff.
thanks again =)
