Those weren't stock mufflers were they? My 4 cat stock mufflers never were that loud. Sounds like stock H-pipe with 40 series Flowmasters.

I remember my stock exhaust on my 89. Sounds pretty good with the HCI and stock exhaust!

It was the full package and we put stock exhaust on it for smog reasons. It now has the regular offroad setup.

It's not just a cam, it's the package from what the title says. The TFS Package includes heads, cam, and intake, as well as a smattering of new valve train parts. With a coupe like this he should see a very decent gain even with stock exhaust.

sounds nice but why would you put a cam into a stock 5.0? the stock cam profile is extremely efficient, and you wouldn't see any gains without at least some new heads on it. preferably also intake and full exhaust.

the car might seem a bit quicker, but you're not going to see any gains in the 1/4 mile.
