No, that is not what I meant. I think we pushed God out of everything, so he stepped out and let us do our thing, which proved to be self destructive. Now, in our despair, we have no choice but to ask for His help.
livoffland, doesn't it seem that is what people have done throughout history? I am glad that help is there when asked for. We have always had free will, but not always the good sense to ask for guidance in our decision making. Too often we allow our egos to push in a direction that is not a good for us or others.
I agree with you. I always try to talk to my grandma and granpams brothers and sisters that are 80's years old plus. Too learn about family history and how they survived the last great depression in the 1930's.

Yes, Jesus is our number one investment and Daniel should probably discuss his relationship with the Lord more, but do keep in mind that God wants us to work together in community and not in isolation. Americans, myself included, need to hear this message. I think he gave good advice.
Did not Jesus say that the greatest commandment was to love God with all your strength, mind and soul (paraphrased), and to love your neighbor as yourself? Isn't that what Daniel is saying as well? Jesus wanted us to follow his example and live the way he did with love and forgiveness in his heart for all.
You've hit the nail on the head. Relationships are all that really matter. "Naked I came into the World and Naked I shall return." Thanks for setting our priorities back on track.
Aside from Christ and Family I do not see a change. You still talk Silver lining, Economics, Money and Investment stick words So I think that you are gonna corner your neighbors about investment. Sorry I just can not get away from this. I find the same fault with Manoftruth to be honest. Just another way to make a buck.

No, i don't think your being mean, but yes, your cynical, why, because you see underlying motives to everyones actions, it's obvious by your statement. It's not a matter of putting you or anyone else down, but your statements reveal your attitude, nothing more to it than that. I do things for people sometimes with expectations, sometimes not. I don''t think Daniels motives here are to make a buck, sorry.
So true. A lot of the time my sisters, mother and I are in different rooms glued to some screen. My other sister doesn't even come around anymore. I guess she thinks she's an independant woman and doesn't need us anymore. So she comes by and makes that painful small talk. It gets worse everytime. My oldest brother doesn't want anything to do with us and I haven't seen my other brother in a year. (Can you hear the violins?) Truth be told, you're completely right. It's time to come together.
"Anastasia" ISBN 978-0-9801812-0-3, the first of a series of nine, and it is all about getting back to Who we are and living the simple life. It fits right in with what you are saying here.

The Major Media outlets, Govt, and pundits don't make up 1 percent of Soceity, yet it has really confused ppl and the result is a soceity that is not going to allow itself to be fooled anymore. I count on blogs and yt videos to stay on top of news. Become a neighbor by visiting with your next door neighbor, communties are making a comeback! learn from one another.
I've seen more of people coming together lately, and it's interesting how you can see and feel the efforts of those that worried about losing their control over us, and our money.
MSM has been grasping lately, for ways to cause division, and a new billboard in town. Two big huge Pepsi logos. Some people I know are not drinking pepsi anymore because of this.
Great video message, Daniel. We used to have block parties years ago when kids were young around Easter and Halloween. Several of those neighbors moved away and I only talk with about 3 of the other 9 families on our block. Everyone waves and seems friendly but only Hurricane Ike brought folks together for a short time, then most went back to their cloistered lifestyles again.
Good video, 5 stars! :) I like it when you do these kinds of videos, because you have an expertise in things other than just finances. Good stuff, thank you.
Awesome inspirational video! I know been getting caught up in all this depression and it is kind of depressing. I'll try to make friends with nieghbors and be a little more in touch with friends.
The collapse will force the ignorant into a life that they will regret they didn't see. The ignorant are those that call you crazy, paranoid and a conspiracy nut. You may love the ignorant but until they are forced to survive an uncomfortable life they will continue to be ignorant.
God bless you Daniel. Your work is appreciated and sought after by people that don't trust the powers that be.
true statement...even Noah kept the doors open on the Ark for 7 days to invite the non-believers to come on board and fortold of what was going to happen but the people still scoffed and mocked.
Sound advice. Thanks for continuing to reach out as the crisis continues to unfold. I have a feeling that Daniel would have been on the Titanic, he would have been one of the rare 1st class passengers to rush to the steerage to seek out and help others.
wonderful video...you remind me of the brotherhood and obligations we have to eachother and how those relationships are what makes us whole...
I stood by a friends bed as she died...and what struck me was that she wanted nothing but more time with her family...not another car, a bigger house...but time with loved ones...what else is there?
Beautiful. We are having a big get together Friday night with an ecclectic group of people whom we think will all connect in some way. I totally agree with this video...the relationships are the key to the future.
That was one of ...if not your very best video. A few years back our church had a book study. The book was entitled; "Entertaining ourselves to death" and it spelled out how our lives were being destroyed by societies desire for constant, uninterrupted entertainment. It has damaged us spiritually, morally, and in some cases physically. Too much ice cream and American Idol. I tried reaching out to a couple of my neighbours...I offered to help them plant a garden. They now think I'm crazy
As we move deeper into the Depression, people will be more open to the truth as well as the need for relationships will grow. Our window is open, but will close fast. Eventually the ones that we don't free, will turn to the government and beg for martial law and socialism.
Just how our personal relationships have deteriorated so has our relationship with the country. With your example of family going to their separate rooms instead of communing more with each other is right on. Who's taking care of the house if everybody is taking care of themselves. The same goes with the country, many of us haven't figured out that we as a people are in this together. Instead of going and living in our own separate rooms of race, religion, political party or class.
They may think you're crazy right now but you've planted the idea in their heads. When produce becomes expensive they'll be back and they'll want your help.
Oh yes, I remember that episode. Pretty unnerving, wasn't it?. . . (The Twilight shows often presented moral dilemmas rather than "scary" stuff -- ever notice that?) I think disasters of every type bring out both the worst AND the best in people. Perhaps the pessimist expects the worst behavior and the optimist expects the best. We'll likely encounter both cases in the future. The only "control" we have is which type of behavior WE choose to exhibit. It's gonna be a test for sure
We as AMERICANS have become self centered in many ways only caring a "ME ME ME". I've seen kids taking money from their parents and grand parents with no intensions of paying it back, only to fill their needs at the time.
You are so right, I was raised in the country, and we knew our neighbors and stayed in touch with family, we didn't even have to lock the doors at night, different time then, but never too late to start. Great Video.
When my parents sold the farm I grew up on, they had to have all the locks changed. Why? Because they didn't have any keys to them. (The front door, infact, was broken and wouldn't lock.) We NEVER locked our doors. No need. We'd often come home from an outing and find a note on the kitchen table that so-n-so had dropped in to see us and missed us -- would give us a call later.
I rode my bike all over those country roads and my Mom never had to worry about me. I miss those days.
Daniel! Strong, timely, EXCELLENT message! I've been thinking of having a community picnic with a kite flying theme (we have a big pasture) and you've pushed me into action. I think I will look into having a pig roast too. We know quite a few of my neighbors, but as you say, it's important to develop those relationships and get to know MORE people and more about those I've already met BEFORE TSHTF. Thank you!!!
No you're not! You have lots of fans on your channel and I don't think you'd have a bit of trouble making connections locally. Your recent "man on the street" videos proved that. Now, if we could just get you to stop referring to and thinking of women as mere "females". . . . Ahem.
V V - What do you think the odds are that we won't need guns, gold and grub? I mean...is there a chance that the country can continue going business as usual?
I sometimes feel like I am one of those crazy Year2000 people when I see no one else around me preparing.
Our most important investment is our self. Our own bodies. The biggest surprise will not be the fraudulent banking system. The biggest surprise will be the fradulent medical and food system the world has. The movement towards getting back to truly health human nutrition is the most important. Food drives everything. We are what we eat. The cooked processed food paradigm will be replaced by food being eaten in it's natural state once again.
I dont think it will be as straight forward as this. There is a reason people are separated and it steams from consciousness, Egos have grown so even in social environments people find communication is not really working its just surface level and so they actually feel repelled by it and thus the separation.
So ppl dont invite their neighbours over because they are cautious of everything they say as they dont want to offend the fragile ego they feel its fake and it is fake conversation.
Great video, great ideas. People seem to think that living in a neighborhood is the same thing as living in a community these days. This deppression would be a lot less dangerous if we all lived in tight communities.
skyding8962, I enjoy George-4title videos. If you know something relating to why I should not continue to enjoy his videos, please share it. Character assination by PM is not the way to do it. No one is perfect, but George4title is entertaining, informative, and likable. You know he's in Detroit and Fling right now reporting on a small budget, if any; stupid, yes, but shows a lot of spirit. Clue me in if you really have something I need to know. Thanks.
I can't post a link on youtube. Ive been saying for months now he has scammed me. There is a guy with video proof george is a scammer on the peter schiff incidence.
I was born in the Ukraine-formerly communist Soviet Union- & this is what I know for sure: In an economic depression, people will come together again. It's inevitable. It's not a choice; the alternative is suicide. People will share knowledge & resources to survive, BUT this will only happen, & it will happen as history shows over & over, when people realize that the government is not able to take care of them. When the choice is evolve or perish, most, as unlikely at it may seem, will evolve.
Things are just things and can be replaced. People cannot. People should take time with the family and enjoy the company.....not going out to some sideshow entertainment. Good vid.
You're on the money with this Daniel. But no matter what, people will be forced to work together weather they like it or not.
I recall the blackout of 2003, it was only for a few days but all the neighbors in the building finally met eachother and we realized we had a lot in common. Also recalling major snowstorms in the city, people tend to pool their resources.
But you're right it's better to start before its too late, but when the time comes we will come together anyway.
I gotta agree, I was saying this to my family today, here in the UK we have little to no sense of community partly due to the city planners who designed this urbanised living. I heard there was a report out recently that showed that Britains are the least involved with their neighbours, we truly have a lot a work to do aswell.
Absolutely 100% Agreed!!!! Very touching video... I have lately been making an effort to become more social, joined a meetupgroup in my area where many of us have similar interests. Family is harder, nuclear family is what we have now, mine consists of less than 6 people I talk to regularly. Community is the way to go you are right!!
Yes! People have become isolationists - a false sense of community has been created using fake 'reality TV' celebrities. I started feeling years ago that an attempt was being made to 'divide and conquer'.
I am in 1000% agreement with everything stated in this vid.
Learn what your community is about, what it can offer, and what you can offer in return.
Think how wonderful it will be to get back to really communicating with each other, enjoying the fellowship of friends and neighbors.
I fully expect The Greatest Enlightenment to come after The Greatest Depression. Howard Storm's near death experience in 1985 exposed this all to him. Great book = "My descent into death (and how love brought me back)"
Now this is great video. We are people that need to come together and get rid of this era of greed and self. Wonderful words to live by. Thank you Daniel!
Daniel, thnx for sharing the good advice. I think we all have been too consumed with making a living and main stream TV to get to know our neighbors. I have a small circle of friends & family that I'd feel comfortable going to for help if need be. That needs to change. I'm in FL too and it is very hard to meet people here... so many retired folks that just want to be left alone! Pity is that I'm sure they have a wealth of knowledge to share.
Yesterday my 5 y/o Daughter asked me about volcanoes- what they are. I drew an Illustration for her how/why they work. We then spent the next hour drawing them. She put a book together as a present to my Friend/Model/Assistant who just gave Birth to a wonderful little Girl. I'm giving that Baby a few 2009 Silver coins (Eagles, Maples, Harms...) as a Welcome!. Family is Growing! :D Thanks for the BBQ idea! I am going to do the same. What a way to Bind with Neighbors! Peace/Love!
its good advice. I have been in the same neighborhood for five years here in FL - some of my neighbors have been here for 10+ years. I know NONE of them. I wave, we take walks, we try to engage them...nothing. Trust me we are quite normal, and we have given them no reason to act as they do(we're not loud, are kids are well behaved, etc.). Maybe its just FL, never had this problem in my life. Anyway, I guess I'll keep trying; maybe your neighbors will be better. It really is a shame though
Ditto Seattle, ditto Sacramento. It's the sterilized country we seem to have turned into. People look at you as if you just landed from Mars if you try to be neighborly. Daniel may be right, the techie generat'n has caused this. Maybe this is the best thing that's ever happened to us. It really did used to be that neighbors waved to each other. Why? We all walked! We all went hungry at least once. I'm hopeful. Great video, I'll keep trying too!
thanks for the comments - I feel like I must have 9 heads sometimes. You're right, when I was a kid I could walk into my neighbors house without knocking (and oh my God! their door was unlocked!). Now I stand 10 feet back if I have to KNOCK on my neighbors(or anyones) door, so they know I am not a threat. Pretty sad.
People are talking about moving here, moving there...with their extended families to start life where there is farmland and a little safety in numbers. Montana and similar open areas come up in conversations. I think we will start seeing some migrations going on with every day people trying to get off the "grid" and get back to what it's all about. I hope to become one of them. Good luck to all, we can make it with the right attitude!
Wow, this whole relatioship subject has been on my mind...im valuing long standing relationships more. Thinking of those that have been in my corner, and supporting them. And those in the "other corner" im not going to worry about. I got to feel the love from people, those friends...then i will pour my love on them.
I hope some kind of change comes. I spend time trying to meet new people and end up having great conversation with them. However, it's going to have to get much worse. I live in Scottsdale, AZ and I'm not sure if it's just here, but you could never tell something was wrong with the economy. The people in places like Scottsdale/OC will probably have the most difficulty accepting change if something bad goes down.
Yes, that is true. But does 'our' vote even count? Every presidential election, the focus is always on the electoral. Popular vote seem to just be a media thing. I've never been able to get a good answer on the real point to voting (I vote anyways) when it comes to picking our president. The last answer I got was 'it's to make a point.' That's all fine and dandy but that doesn't seem like what makes a democratic society to me.
Sorry Daniel, but I don't agree with this comment that the Electoral College is set up to protect the minority ... I see it as protecting those in political power: a tool to make it easy to "concentrate" on those popular votes needed to retain power, and to usurp or undermine the popular vote, when necessary, to retain that power stranglehold.
IMHO the most IMPORTANT vote one can cast is that for Presidential PRIMARY. All else is a "fix."
very good video. i think you are spot on with this message. this veil of technology is truly opiate for the masses and we have got to get back to basics.
i totaly agree.i had cousins from chicago visiting me here in croatia.we had some extra good time, barbique, family meetings, trips acros our mother region... and they told me that we live here as they lived in america in 60 "s,but evrytking changed
THANK YOU, Daniel, for taking the time to make this video full of excellent advice. I like your tag: "Turn off the tv and start living." Spot on. The great placebo of society is numbing people into isolation at a time when we need to be pulling together, especially amongst our families and neighbors. Very good video.
people don't care about anything but themselves. "Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant,"
people aren't faithful. all faith needs to be in God. they will betray you, and stab you in the back, and cause you to be put to death in seconds.
"If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?"
i dont want to see them starve either. this stuff makes me sick and depressed. but we cant lean on ourselves, our neighbors, or our own understanding. we can only lean on God, who will never fail.
Very good! 15 years ago, I couldn't get healthcare in the USA, and I just really couldn't stand things at "home" anymore, so I moved to Europe. No TV, no portable phone, wasn't online until a year and a half ago . . .
I really appreciate your comments on socialism. If people agree that it takes a whole village to raise a child, that, to me, is socialism, and it's good.
I don't agree it takes a whole village to raise a child. I think children do well with one or perferably two devoted, loving, committed parents raising them. I don't want the interference of the "village" -- whose ideals, priorities, morals etc. might not match mine -- in that matter.
Do I want good people around my children? Of course. But raising them?
Excellent point. Parents are it when it comes to raising healthy, intelligent, and kind children. Teach your kids how to be organically happy through good diet and exercise, love on them, and give them a stimulating environment. In such an environment you'll be amazed at how great family life can be.
people who arent close with their families probably dont like their families. unfortunately, instead of finding a group of like minded people they could depend on and investing in that, they just focused entirely on supporting the industrial machine.
So true, thats how the government got out of control. People don't have the time to pay attention to what is happening because we are slaves to the system. We systemize so much that we have taken away from the whole point of living. Cheers to a fantastic video. I think hiking is a great way to get people together and introduce the possibilities of change behaviour.
Up to this point in time, the system has been DIVISIVE in nature. This has had to be the case for the powers that be, to be able to control US with ease.
The coming PAIN (in the soon to be upon us, depression/economic collapse) will have a UNIFYING EFFECT, so bringing us all together.
The ONE THING we ALL have in common, is we all have the same ENEMY.
The PARASITES behind and operating the 'FRACTIONAL RESERVE' BANKING SYSTEM.
The SYSTEM which has ENSLAVED ALMOST ALL ON THE PLANET.
Unfortunelty, the masses still dont know the private bankers and elite. Depending on how bad it gets it very well could be similar to the matrix when Morpheus takes Neo down the street in the training program with the woman in the red dress. The very people we are trying to free are still plugged into the system, and until we do that makes them our enemy in their eyes. VV is right, most of the masses will turn toward a socialist government.
Family does need to be closer, but the majority of people in the neighborhood are so brainwashed it would only be a breach of security by socializing with them. They would welcome martial law if things got bad.
Relationships eroded by technology. That cuts to the heart of it.

One of your best. Great message.

This is sound advice IMHO.
I started this about 4-5 years ago myself. Having read books by dale carnegie also had a lot to do with it.
Kind of off topic but in one book he says how a dog is one of the animals that has to do no work to get food, shelter, and love. Why is that?
Because it wags its tail and is genuinely happy to see its master each and every time.
The same can be applied to relationships with human beings. Oh, but you will have to work doing something.

Dan;
Toneyboy53 2 years ago
sounds like a great study.
As we move deeper into the Depression, people will be more open to the truth as well as the need for relationships will grow. Our window is open, but will close fast. Eventually the ones that we don't free, will turn to the government and beg for martial law and socialism.
visionvictory 2 years ago 2
Just how our personal relationships have deteriorated so has our relationship with the country. With your example of family going to their separate rooms instead of communing more with each other is right on. Who's taking care of the house if everybody is taking care of themselves. The same goes with the country, many of us haven't figured out that we as a people are in this together. Instead of going and living in our own separate rooms of race, religion, political party or class.

truthsabre7 2 years ago
Oh yes, I remember that episode. Pretty unnerving, wasn't it?. . . (The Twilight shows often presented moral dilemmas rather than "scary" stuff -- ever notice that?) I think disasters of every type bring out both the worst AND the best in people. Perhaps the pessimist expects the worst behavior and the optimist expects the best. We'll likely encounter both cases in the future. The only "control" we have is which type of behavior WE choose to exhibit. It's gonna be a test for sure

Perhaps just a public park (Pot luck)
No need to really plan it, it will come together on its own,

I was born in the Ukraine-formerly communist Soviet Union- & this is what I know for sure: In an economic depression, people will come together again. It's inevitable. It's not a choice; the alternative is suicide. People will share knowledge & resources to survive, BUT this will only happen, & it will happen as history shows over & over, when people realize that the government is not able to take care of them. When the choice is evolve or perish, most, as unlikely at it may seem, will evolve.

HomesteadProvocateur 2 years ago
Think how wonderful it will be to get back to really communicating with each other, enjoying the fellowship of friends and neighbors.

its good advice.

And why does the vote even matter when it comes down to the Electoral College?
vociti 2 years ago
The Electoral College is set up to protect the minority.
VictoryIndependence 2 years ago
Yes, that is true. But does 'our' vote even count? Every presidential election, the focus is always on the electoral. Popular vote seem to just be a media thing. I've never been able to get a good answer on the real point to voting (I vote anyways) when it comes to picking our president. The last answer I got was 'it's to make a point.' That's all fine and dandy but that doesn't seem like what makes a democratic society to me.
vociti 2 years ago
Sorry Daniel, but I don't agree with this comment that the Electoral College is set up to protect the minority ... I see it as protecting those in political power: a tool to make it easy to "concentrate" on those popular votes needed to retain power, and to usurp or undermine the popular vote, when necessary, to retain that power stranglehold.
IMHO the most IMPORTANT vote one can cast is that for Presidential PRIMARY. All else is a "fix."

Very good video.
slobomotion 2 years ago
I don't agree it takes a whole village to raise a child. I think children do well with one or perferably two devoted, loving, committed parents raising them. I don't want the interference of the "village" -- whose ideals, priorities, morals etc. might not match mine -- in that matter.
Do I want good people around my children? Of course. But raising them?
No, that's my and my husband's job.
Michigansnowpony 2 years ago 2
Excellent point. Parents are it when it comes to raising healthy, intelligent, and kind children. Teach your kids how to be organically happy through good diet and exercise, love on them, and give them a stimulating environment. In such an environment you'll be amazed at how great family life can be.
