cate is sooo good at acting like a dude it's amazing when you really start to notice all of the little things like body language the way she walks that manly testosterone presence and sort of attitude about her its simply amazing! wish i was that good at acting
That interview in the car,The actual interview in the hotel its on youtube i think its just so great. Most artists and celebritys crack under the question time fror mags, yet Bob just fired right back at em eith great answers
Man... I jus love this movie soo much man... I mean this scene it self is sooo powerful... It says so much about him and his struggled mind... and Cate Blanchett's performance is jus great man... I mean she really looks like the early Bob Dylan... Definatly one of the best movies ive ever seen along with some other really gd ones like: Almost Famous, The Boat that rocked, Rock Star, Hair, Across The Universe etc.... Pretty much all like gd musical moveis based in the 60'-70's...
she is amazing!!!! she is genius!it' seems that you're looking to Bob Dylan from "Dont look back" or Eat the document", Yeah, I think she was the best Bob Dylan :)
just to elaborate, there's segments of different actors portraying parts (sometimes fictional) of dylan's life. cate was one (and arguably the best) of them.
after seeing this movie twice, im still trying to fathom the meaning of the bathroom scene. is it that he understands nothing? And by interviewing people like Dylan he gets the opportunity to appear as if he does understand things of beauty? (the handing of a bone to him by Dylan)
I know the Zoomdom quote at 0:17 is one that John Lennon said but I don't think the character is meant to be him. He reminds me more of Bobby Neuwirth. If anyone knows who its meant to be tell me cause its really bugging me!! Otherwise, great movie! Cate Blanchette was awesome!!
Ya i think you're right. John lennon says that to him in "Eat the Document" if I'm not mistaken. But Bobby was the one with Dylan on the england tour that I'm pretty sure Cate's whole segment is simulating.
I love this movie, every time you watch it you figure out something else...it's like a big jigsaw puzzle lol
I'm positive this is Stephen Malkmus singing, I remember hearing that somewhere.

I don't think it's arguable that Cate was the best. It is very, very, crystal clear she is best. And this is only 1/5 of Blanchett's performance.

I think it's meant to be both. When he says Zoomdom he's in shadow and it's not until he comes into the light that he 'becomes' Bobby Neuwirth.

Alan Ginsberg is a real poet, hes based of the actual alan ginsberg who dylan met and was good friends with
