  • That's some fine driving. Thank you for sharing what other people don't get to see in real life. Subscribed!

  • Wow. You're much faster than my regular driver! Normally that journey is painfully slow - not quite as bad as Ealing to Acton (which is a joke on most days.)

Or do you just happen to work Weekends? :)

  • Just the Piccadilly line

  • I'm a tube fan from Germany and I watched all your videos! Thanks for uploading :) But do you only drive trains of the Piccadilly line? I would love to see some other lines, too..

  • no only when there is a whistle board but its up to the t/op

  • Every non-stop you go through you have to blow the whistle, am I right ?

  • @piccdriver i tell u what i want to see cockforsters to heathrow lol

  • Nice! I did that trip almost every day from 1985-1992 when I went to school in Northfields. I used to love those rare occasions when the Piccadilly Line would be backed up in Hammersmith and held at Ravenscourt Park and the driver would open the doors, Ravenscourt Park was much closer to home!

  • and were there passengers on the train?

  • yes normal service train

  • 2:14 WHY DID YOU NOT STOP?

  • stopped as booked

  • @kaiyan246 No Piccadilly line train stops there.

  • @simpletimes222 Very occasionally they do - I've only seen it happen once.

  • ever missed at station, by stopping to far of the station?

  • no but came close once, train locked up coming into sudbury hill east on t il

  • The met line can go twice as fast but I still like the Piccadilly line though

  • like to see a met train doing 100mph

  • Could you upload some more Piccadilly line views please?

  • Could you upload some more Piccadilly line journeys please?

  • An uninterupted trouble free journey from Acton Town to Hammersmith. That use to happen a lot in the old days.

  • still not that bad today

  • how fast can a tube train go

  • Why does the train usually go so slowly between Acton and Hammersmith?

  • Excellent video. Love the sense of speed as you shoot through all those stations.

  • wow

  • How fast are you going in this section

  • Great video. I like how you can clearly see the old LSWR viaduct as you approach Hammersmith. There even seems to be a tiny section of track still in place leading up to it.

  • The track that looks like it's leading up to the old LSWR viaduct is not original, but left over from engineering works.

  • Thank you for the video! Super!!!

  • Wow, the tube stock hauls ass when you put the hammer down on a long sustained run. Awesome vid!

  • That's how it's meant to be. All of those stations are just served by the District line, except for Turnham Green in the early mornings and late evenings.

  • How did you have the camera so still?

  • Just put it on the dash and left it alone

  • When my son is older this is the job I'm gonna hopefully do. Wanted to do it since I was seven

  • Train Drivers are all my hero's!! I love you all!! :-)

  • No.... Stop at Turnham Green. Do you know how long us Chiswickians have been campaigning for a stop???

  • Yes and no chance the way things are.

But look on the bright side when the Picc's up the wall going into Acton we do stop there or when the District is screwed we also stop there and before 0730 and after 2230

  • how fast are you going?

  • Thats between me the speedo and the black box :)

  • That would be telling!!!!!

  • nicely driven, I hope you're an I/Op

  • Well yes and no

45mph on the Picc 50 on the met ; )

  • is 45mph the fastest the piccadilly line trains are driven at

  • Come on there's nothing wrong with a D stock

Nothing a scrap yard can't cure!!!!!!!

  • Great Vid! Really enjoyable to see the 73 stock leaving those naff looking District Line Trams standing.

  • Why does the Annoucement play so early for Hammersmith?

  • what are the 73 stock like to drive?

  • They are one of the better trains to drive on the underground, not plastic heaps of junk like the 92s 95s and 96s not much electronics on them mostly solid state electronics (relays and the like, no bloody computer to fight with), they are reliable and a good train to work.

  • hey, woah, what wrong with the 90s, they perform well enough dont they??? but anyhoo what do you think of ATO??? i think it should be scrapped...

  • ATO isn't bad but I can beat it when it comes to my Lewis Hamilton style high speed braking into outside stations. Its all good though, you can relax, no need to worry about signals, just sit back and enjoy the ride. Did get a bit of the brown trouser syndrome when I first experienced the speed at which the trains would launch into a station especially TCR east and west and Bond Street west.

  • I'll have you know that those 92 have got far more torque than the 73s. Im regularly ripping them at 62mph plus on the Epping and West Ruislip branches. Must agree with you though on the electronics, so many gadgets, so many things to go wrong especially with our recent spate of motors flashing over. I must be working the trains too hard.

  • We have been told it will happen in about 2014. The line will then be ATO like the Vic,Cent, and by then the JUb and Northern.

  • are the picadilly line trains getting replaced?

  • nice to see a tube train at high speed
