the 360 has a faster GPU with AA and faster HDD and Phsyx, the PS3 has a better CPU, the PS3 has PSN but the 360 has XBL... but the cell processor is a nightmare for developers which is why cross platform games look a bit better on 360, it was stupid of sony to design it like that, hopefully there will be more dedicated devs for the ps3 in the future to utilize the processor, but really, no-one cares about the graphics, its the controllers, games selection and online that we use most.

Honestly, the 360 and PS3 would barely be able to run Minecraft, due to it's sheer size. Yet my laptop (2 cores @2.66GhZ, HD 4200, 4 GB's of RAM) runs Minecraft 80 FPS on average. For the consoles, the world size would be limited to medium, the FPS would be capped at 30, and would often dip down, ect. Point being, PC is better for performance.

I can play music off my ipod or mp3 while playing anygame on 360 but only on a couple on ps3. I can stream movies from my pc to my xbox in blue ray. the 360 has a faster GPU with AA and faster HDD and Phsyx, the PS3 has a better CPU, the PS3 has PSN but the 360 has XBL... but the cell processor is a nightmare for developers which is why cross platform games look a bit better on 360, it was stupid of sony to design it like that, hopefully there will be more dedicated devs for the ps3 in the future to utilize the processor, but really, no-one cares about the graphics, its the controllers, games selection and online that we use most.

Sorry but the gaming graphics are slightly better on the 360.I wish it wasn't true,I personally prefer the ps3 because of its other capabilities,blu ray being one of them.If you don't believe me check out the numerous videos comparing the two. These videos are from numerous different people on youtube.What makes the graphics better on the xbox mainly has to do with software more than hardware.But the architectural differences in the processor could be coming into play too.

the ps3 does not have 7 cores, it has a 1 3.2 GHZ core with 7 SPE's, SPE's are not processing cores, uncapable of overtaking operations by themselves, they are not autonomous and in any case, the Cell Broadband processor in benchmarks is comparable to an Intel atom, thats a notebook processor
the Xbox's processor in benchmarks is actually more comparable to a quad-core processor.
enough said facts are facts, ps3 is not more powerfull than Xbox. in the end they are both allmost the same

@thePCgamingZone well concidering that most computer apps and games run with mostly 4 cores, and to take in the fact that as of this moment we are using 6 core processors, Intel i7 900x series and AMD Athlon II X6 series.
plus with the introduction of intel Sandy Bridge i7 2600k thats a 4 core processor that outperforms those 6 core processors.
its about time sony fanboys wake up from their dreams and realize its all a scam that sony's fed them.

@shamus1331 Your processor has four cores and eight threads, not eight cores. It shows as eight cores because operating systems detect threads, not cores. Since each of the four cores has two threads, the operating system sees that as eight cores.

@shamus1331 why would you buy 2 quad cores?, when you can get the new i7 990X, much faster and allthou more expencive, its by far one of the highest performing cpu processors within its price-range.
that may change with the new sandy-bridge 6core processors but untill then the 990X is still at the top.
also it would be worth it to keep an eye with what AMD comes up with, their Phenom II 1100T processor was great, and i am curious about their upcomming bulldozer series.

nevermind the core capacity, the sheer cost to manufacture such cpu would be inmence, that and the fact that you would most deffinately need liquid cooling to actually keep cool such beast of a cpu.
dont buy into sony's propaganda, reviewers such as gamestop and ign would say and write anything as long as they get paid for it.

@Dirxano You don't know what you're talking about. A PC is a better choice, it is coded, and runs better than PS3, or 360 by MILES. Honestly, the 360 and PS3 would barely be able to run Minecraft, due to it's sheer size. Yet my laptop (2 cores @2.66GhZ, HD 4200, 4 GB's of RAM) runs Minecraft 80 FPS on average. For the consoles, the world size would be limited to medium, the FPS would be capped at 30, and would often dip down, ect. Point being, PC is better for performance.

sony's 1 core 7 spe processor in benchmarks is acutally comparable to an intel atom, while the xenos 3 core processor the xbox has is more comparable to a quad core processor, its microsofts fault however that they did not install a strong enough cooling system for their cpu

It is really pathetic and pointless to take this so seriously and take it personal..all three consoles are great and amazing in their own ways..the 360, PS3 and the Wii are all awesome. They are not the same things they all have differences which make them have different games and features. Its supposed to be that way.
