I have a couple of sets of MaxTrax and the only way I've seen them get damaged is driving into low clearance carwash with them on the roofracks. The did'nt even break, just knocked a couple of knobs off the top of 1, and they still work. I've even seen them used upside down and they still worked. Some people reckon they are expensive but it's better than spending a few hours stranded or even worse still, watching your car get swallowed by the surf.
If your hobby is driving around in a 4-wheel drive you probably don´t want to waste your time manufacturing something that hopefully does the trick once before breaking.
would these work with small stuff like fourwheelers because im sick of burying mine in the clay every spring hauling firewood. if so where can i get them
SOLD !!!! I was hesitating because I wasn't sure if they can deform, or if those plastic things would break, but they seem to take just everything... Let's go dune bashing!!!
Best thing i have ever purchased, got them from johnnos campers Newcastle

Really shows that a brilliant design is often a simple one.
Also amazing to see how deep the trucks drive these things into the ground when they get moving again.

Good one! The Suby driver must've been grateful! Are these made in Australia? Good way to spend the Ruddbucks if so.

That's why you have co2 air and or a compressor. You can then lower your air pressure to 10lbs ish, that'll fatten the tires = more traction.

letting down your tyres is to make the foot-print longer, not wider.
