1 month till I graduate into a nursing job, and I can honestly say to all my fellow males who are thinking about going into nursing that they should. Its a rewarding (but challenging) job that is an everlasting learning experience. If you just suspend the masculine ego for a minute and think about why nursing is considered a 'womens' job, I doubt you'll be able to think of any good considerations.

I did not want to become a nurse because of money, I love the job. Doctor's DO NOT order you around, they WRITE their orders on the paper, you are with the patient 99% of the time, doctors 1%. Doctors are not there most of the time when emergencies occur and patient's life needs to be saved, they are not there monitoring patients
as they are providing other care. They are not there to treat the whole patient, but just the illness, nurses are backbones of helthcare system. Their schooling is hard, responsibility big, but reward much greater than most of you can ever experience doing your construction, office, or retail work.
Think about that!
To all the male nurses/nursing students, keep you head high because you have place in this great profession, and only ignorant will disagree.
