  • definitly a deleted scene

  • Open the skills menu to level up

  • Kevin Mckidd is one badass motherfucker!

  • Liam Nelson is in this movie? Wow, I'm beggining to think he's in every movie.

  • fuck yo ransom

  • I used to be accorded the privilege of ransom, but then I took a warhammer to the brain.

  • So, why did they kill him in the end?

  • @muffinator469 Cause his friends killed their friends.

  • - Man gets brain axed

    - Holy soundtrack starts off

    Wtf?

  • If you thought that this movie was anti-religion or anti-christian, I believe you missed the entire point. The Christians who were portrayed so nastily in this movie used their faith mindlessly. For them, it was a tool, a weapon. When, in truth, faith should be used to protect, to help others (as Jesus would have done).

We can see the good side of Christianity in this movie in Godfrey, the Hospitaller, Baldwin IV, and Balian.

  • @GileadsFinest This is proven in the film when the Templars are being executed for murdering "infidels". Balian says,"So they die for what the Pope would command of them?" The Hospitaller says,"Yes, but not Christ, I think." (not an exact quote)

  • i love this movie.

  • @666voltanaligern It is my favourite.

  • @rzhevska the best movie about the crusades ever made.

  • the hammering guy is SOAP

  • Stop right between 0:41 and 0:42. The tip is no longer there ;)

  • Woahhhhhhh, that was fuckin insane.

  • Don't mess with the Teutonic knights!!!

  • He won't do "Rise a knight" again

  • FINISH HIM

  • bitch

  • Warhammer to the Brain.. God Wills IT!!!!

  • That was quite satisfying for some reason...wtf

  • Hmm in german this type of warhammer is called "Rabenschnabel" (ravenbeak?) because the tip/spike is formed like a ravens "mouth".

  • Thats a warhammer! I demand a title change for historical accuracy! :D

  • @Wildcat425B Done...it's been mentioned enough times. :p

  • @FagOx *feels sense of victory*

  • As a pacifist I hate myself for saying, but it must've felt so fantastic when the warhammer got stuck. For the guy holding the weapon of course. Just thinking about that moment...

  • What is that song, that plays so fittingly when the guy gets axed?

  • there should be more directors like this. People who make great movies!

  • that a cavalry weapon?

  • What r u doing Mactavish??!

  • TO THOSE HAVING A RELIGIOUS ARGUMENT BELOW - "i put no stock in religion, by the word religion i've seen the lunacy of fanatics of every denomination be called the will of god" , try watching the film and taking the true meanings from the dialogue, this is far more than just a war film, if all you took from watching this was enjoyment of the fight scenes i brand you ignorant and immature..

  • @TheRacketBoss I hope you aren't suggesting that the movie is anti-religion, however. That character you quoted was meant to teach the viewer that forcing your religion (or non-religion) upon others, or refusing to accept another person's belief, is what causes strife and turmoil when it comes to religious discord.

  • thats not a pickaxe thats a warhammer.

  • My favourite scene in the whole movie. If only they had maintained this level of moral ambiguity throughout the movie.

Also, religious debates under EVERY SINGLE Kingdom of Heaven video? Fuck's sake YouTube.

  • @GamerElite1000 I doubt it..Saladin owned us Christians and was more dignified and humane then us Christians even presently..So shut the fuck up u ignorant thich moron.

  • @Solarlad i pity people like you who think films are not fiction, this film is pretty much anti christian in every sense, the fact is saladin converted many churches in to mosques, he is such a pussy to escape from battle field on a race camel, i dont hink you are a christian, we dont need people like you, even a few 100 christians in world are enough than millions of muslim locusts.

  • @hammurabi1954 This film is not anti-Christian, it is anti-Church. Your forgetting that many of the main characters are devout Christians who live in staunch accordance with the guidelines presented in the bible.

The film doesn't rag on Christians, it rags on the clergymen, and by extension, the Vatican.

"To kill an infidel, the Pope has told us, is not murder..." Thats the quote from the director's cut, and it makes clear that the pope, specifically, said that.

  • @Jensaarai1 this film is anti christian, pope said people who kill infidels will get indulgence, the verse used in this film "to kill an infidel is not murder its the path to heaven" can be found in quran, in this film balian showed as agnostic, but the fact is real historical balian is devout christian, he didnt turn away from crusades, in this film it was shown that muslims were praying when taxes were paid, but in reality, many muslim chronicles report that muslims lived peaceful in crusades

  • @Jensaarai1 scott himslef mentioned he is agnostic, but i believe he is more anti christian and favourable to islam, saladin was shown as kind, but in reality he converted many churches to mosques, no doubt reynold is pirate, but he is not templar knight, templars were shown as war mongers but infact they have chivalric codes, they are not like muslims who marry no less than 4 women and maintain harem of concubines and prostitutes.

  • @hammurabi1954 But Templars such as the other Order massacre Muslims and Jews.

  • Fuck you, Trotsky...

  • 5 people did not take their helmet off while addressing Liam Neeson.

  • press 2 then 8. Lmfao :P

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99

    not really..

  • @B0zz3 dont get it? he was like, choked to death. atleast i lol'd a little.. hmph...

  • @GamerElite1000

if stalin didnt do what he did, youd be speaking german now

if Martin Luther didnt do what he did, youd be catholic now

if hitler didnt do what he did, youd be speaking hebrew now

because crazy murderers needs to be remembered proudly for all they have given us against other crazy murderers, this instantly justify all the crazy murders they did and thus they are now automaticly our heros, YAY!!!

  • @powereater Of course, if no one started killing in the first place...no need for heroes who kill.

  • Bastard probably didn't feel a thing. OH, let's just as Doctor Armand Dorian!

  • Comment removed

  • Liam Neeson is a Lord, he doesnt need the money. And since hes been fighting a real war over in the promised land, he probably despises these "pretend" soldiers that attacked him.

  • God wills it! lol! I laughed when I heard that phrase, crazy crusaders

  • @dluong123456 crazy? you must thank them, if they are not there, muslims would have captured europe, then there will be no renaissance, no science, no internet, no youtube.

  • It is a Privilege.... not a right.

  • *directors cut*

  • thats because its in the extended version is you havent watched it i suggest that you do because it is alot better than the theatrical version

  • @stkywi oh so thats why i havent seen this shit and alot from the trailer too....alot there is in the trailer isnt even on the dvd i got lol----i so need the extended version, didnt even know there was one - thx - is there also extra features like pilgrims path like on my dvd, and maybe behind the scenes which i really misses :)

    thx for telling me

  • I watched this last night and this part wasnt in, yet when i watched it on film4 it was and this battle was different.

  • that how i play minecraft.

  • @mario441797 lol pickaxe to a creeper

  • i dont remember this scene...

  • @freakanthony it wasnt in the movie, probebly because it too violent

  • @Hectoraaa that's not violent that is realistic =/

  • Welease wodger!

  • @Octavius0 i know this was 4 months ago...but goddaym! :D

  • Anyone know the title or name of the music that they play after the dude takes one to the brain...?

  • @skw545 The song is called "Nunc gaudeant materna".

  • the privilege of ransom really sucked

  • they cant let him go and they dont have time to ransom him

  • is he lampard?

  • @ruffy304 i always think the same, liam neeson~frank lampard, vladimir putin~nasir hussien(england cricketer of indian origin), well theres a woman who works in a store and she looks like eva green(98%)

  • It's ridiculous how different the director's cut and theatrical release of this movie are. One's pretty damn good and the other is crap.

  • Why did they kill him ?

  • just buy the blu ray its the director's cut version in HD :)

  • hey, waht part of the movie is this? how you got it?

  • @MateusVIII

It`s in the Director`s Cut version.About 3 hrs long, but worth it,so much better than the theatrical release, loads of good extra stuff.Ridley Scott wanted to release the movie as the full 3hrs,but the producers told him to chop it 'what,3 hours?!? np way,we have ADHD and low attention spans"

  • @1000thVoice where can i buy it? i have the edition with 2 discs, but there is no directors cut, only extras and backstage! I WANT THE DIRECTORS CUT, it is my favourite movie of all times

  • @MateusVIII

well,to be honest,I downloaded it off a torrent site.couldn`t find it to buy it either,so if you`re ok with torrents go ahead.

  • @1000thVoice well i don't know how to downlaod torents LOL, but thanks for the tip i wil try

  • 0:36 - 0:39 STOP! Hammertime!

  • WIlliam Wallace did something similar to this in Braveheart

  • Pwned!

  • I know a few people i would like to do this to

  • LOBOTOMY!

  • god wills it

  • Lucius Vorenus!!!

  • i love how they start playing this happy god like music right after a guy gets axed in the head. how fitting

  • @ninja909 the antithesis method of using music in movies. its effective huh.

  • lol

  • Anyone know what the music is at 0:43, doesn't appear to be on soundtrack. Cheers.

  • I have this movie, but I have never see this episodie,,, is this the extended version?!

  • @caibarien71 deleted scene

  • @billybobboberson its in the dirredctors cut

  • Recommended: don't watch Kingdom of Heaven, but watch Kingdom of Heaven Directors Cuts. It's way more complete and fufilling that the theatrical version. Problem it might have for some is that it's three hours fifteen minutes long, unlike the theatricals two and a bit hours.

  • wodger de coumiere wont be getting wansomed anymore

  • If you look closely enough, after the knight pulls the "pick-axe" out of the noble's brain, the sharp point is missing. Which goes to show, its still a move! XD

  • @dishwasherman83 really i thought i was watching a portal to the past! fuck head,no they killed someone so it would be realistic

  • @billybobboberson

Its quite obvious it looks like a prop. Film is all about bringing the past/story to life, such that you as an audience would be immersed in the story.

I'm sure you'll settle for a B grade movie given your comments. Which would amply manage to satisfy your sub normal mind.

  • @dishwasherman83 mr snipy i guess you only settle for diamond encrusted cake huh? and caviar from the depths of crater lake? its not easy to make a movie and this is not a b flick if you think it is you have never seen a b flick, and how bout you enlighten us what is( in your expert opinon) the greatest movie or some of the best if you cant choose a favorite(if you have seen as many as i have you will have a hard time choosing)if you dont believe that pick a movie that you think i havnt seen

  • @billybobboberson Precisely why this clip isn't shown in the main cinema theaters could probably be due to the redundancy of this scene (I personally think the war hammer did play a part). You'll only find this in the directors' cut in DVD/Blueray.

If it were on the main screen, it would be visible to the general audience. Moreover, Ridley Scott's previous film "Gladiator" won several top awards... it is his intention to have his movie be made as flawless as possible.

  • @dishwasherman83 gladiator had more goofs than kingdom(although there not to visible, only way you would know is if you looked it up) dont get me wrong gladiator is one of my favorite movies, also it seems we are both calm now and can have more of a civil discussion, whats your favorite movie?

  • @billybobboberson yes sir, i see gladiator, it got many flaws, the main thing is in bucchaber arena, when crowe strikes an opponent, the blade doesnt cut the body, its so clear and neat, i say scott is unfit to get knighthood, his films get oscars only through background music and potrayal of main characters as rebels(robin hood, gladiator, kingdom of heaven)

  • @dishwasherman83 Or maybe it was so strong that it was broken inside his skull xD

  • The Paladin just watches like hes seen it all before lol

  • @Sodiumreactor He is not a paladin, he is a Hospitaler.

  • @1169Timothy to be specific, a Knights Hospitaler. But its my opinion that the modern idea of the "Paladin" that you see in games, movies, etc. today came from these real life Knights that were versed in field triage.

  • @Sodiumreactor You are right to some extent.

  • I love this movie so much

  • The Hospitaller just stands there with the "Not impressed" and Liam Neeson just stands there "who gives a crap?" stance when the English soldier stated his father's name. hehehe

  • @trooper59 They are French, all of them, even Godfrey. The Director just gave them all English ascents for the movie.

  • We don't need no stinking ransom!

  • can't find the oasis battle anywhere... anyone has?

  • LOL nice vid

  • 0:42 sup nigger

  • What a great score, and great movie, Ridley Scott, Orlando Bloom, and Harry Gregson-Williams are all genius.

  • I can see the weapon's true identity has been mentioned previously. The hammer is known as a "Crow's Beak," due to the spiked shape of the head. Such weapons had immense killing potential in the field, especially in the confused clash of most fights in those days.

  • NOOO, why I never seen this scene !! I watch the movie 30 times... might be a cut version... D:

  • @dealhit This scene is part of the Special Extended Version of the film, which to be honest, is far better than the standard version. I think the extended version is on BluRay, and is also available as a 4 disc DVD box set. It goes into the story in far more detail, with many scenes added back in, including towards the end, where Guy de Lusignan picks on Balian, challenges him to a sword fight, and Balian beats the crap out of him. If you are keen on the film, I would go for the extended DVD.

  • @dealhit its only in the directors cut.

  • @dealhit You MUST buy the director's cut of Kingdom of Heaven, its such a masterpiece.

  • I thought Godfrey was a dick head as were his friends in this film. All hypocrites. No dignity.

  • @eyeboan dude, these english guys attacked them for no reason and by surprise when they were camping...

  • @lavoie84qc

They attacked because Liam Neeson was sheltering the murderer of a priest and they wanted to inherit Neeson's land.

  • @eyeboan They were just attacked. Some of their friends were slaughtered. Why would they show mercy?

  • Damn people in the middle ages had to look for gold everywhere, didn't they?

  • I hated it that both Godfrey and the German guy died. The German guy was awesome because 1. He had an arrow in his neck and he still fought. 2. He defended Balian against being arrested. 3. He told the priest(Balian's brother) to shut up. I just hate it when Godfrey dies because other than Taken, Liam Neeson's characters can't stay alive in action films.

  • @orlandogirl213 lol i know he dies in every movie pretty much i can name 3 off the top of my head and theres probably more. and i liked both those characters too.

  • Like Godfrey's gonna consider the son of Wodger any privileges while he has an arrow lodged in his own side with memories of fighting for days with an an arrow in his testicle.

  • how the fuck does 'pickaxe to the brain' become a political/historical/cultural debate??

  • It really makes no sense. A nobleman didn't kill a nobleman in the XIIIth Century. If this was true, no one would have respected Godfrey of Ibelin, because he would have no honour.

Besides, Godfrey could have had lots of money from that ransom. A knight was always in economical restraints.

I like a grimmer and darker approach to the Middle Ages, but that doesn't mean making them even darker than what they were.

  • @Ennio444 Where did you get that idea? "Noblemen" were killing each other left and right back then, there was no rule in chivalic code against it. Indeed, De Cormier was there specifically to kill Godfrey with a very dishonorable ambush so his family could lay claim to Godfreys property. As for why Godfrey declined the ransom, he was headed to Jerusalem, and now thanks to Roger with fewer men, and the already rich Godfrey had neither the time nor inclination to bother with it.

  • I get that idea from years of studying Medieval society. Precisley, XII-XIIIth Centuries. I must say, though, that the ambush itself makes no sense, unless Godrey's brother is a bastard with no regard for his own honour. And for a Medieval nobleman, honour is everything. It's social value, reputation and chance to become greater and wealthier.

An honourable knight would be left unharmed if captured in battle, just with: -"you'll pay the ransom, right?" -"yes, I swear" -"then you may go"

  • @Ennio444 Well read your midieval history again. There were many bastards back then, about as many as there are now I'd say, to whom honour was just an excuse to do whatever they wished and knock down anyone who tried to say different. If De Cormier succeeded who was there to say he didn't act without honor, or was the one who killed Godfrey at all? No one. Fairy tales of nobility and honor rarely matched the realities of the world.

  • And what is your backup for that? I mean, you dispise my years of learning by just assuming that things were as they are now. You're judging an era with today's set of values and morality, and this is just the wrong way to look into History.

If you have any interest in learning about knightly society in the Middle Ages, I recommend you "William Marshal" and "the Sunday of Bouvines", by Georges Duby, a well known and respected historian.

  • But, for the record, I'm not saying there weren't bastards back then. I'm just saying that bastards acted in a different way (knight bastards, let us not mistake a nobleman with a commoner. again, the difference of values between those two was abysmal).

The whole ambush is has no accuracy. Look at the number of dead noblemen in battles between Christians. Bouvines, 1214: around 300 knights, and just two of them died, one by accident, the other one for being a bastard. Most of them were captured

  • dude, that's a war hammer

  • The guy who kills him voices Soap Mactavish in Modern Warfare 2

  • yeh he got his ransom lol

  • warhammer to your brain. god wills it- motherfucker :D

  • 0:43 love the way he tilts his head up

  • deleted scenes ftw

  • He just got fucked up by liam neeson

  • in croatia picka means vagina soooo......

  • He needs some HeadOn! applied directly to the forehead!

Anybody else remember that stupid headache remedy that looked like a big gluestick?

  • @gekizai i remember the erectile dysfunction remedy "Hard On" "Hard On: Apply directly to the penis. Hard On: Apply directly to the penis."

  • Can someone please explain this scene? Didn't Godfrey's nephew want to arrest Balian for the murder of his brother? So after the battle why did this guy just offer himself for sacrifice?

  • @tostig4

It's been a while since I last watched the movie but I think it goes like this: Baelian killed his village priest for taking his dead wife's crucifix and for chopping the head from her body (she was a suicide, it was church practice) He then went with his father but they were ambushed by men wanting to take Baelian to trial. This guy survived and is thus asking to be ransomed on account of his noble birth, however he gets a warhammer spike to the brain instead.

  • @AnimaTempli101

Thanks. What got me confused was Godrey's "This is true."

  • @tostig4

Essentially he's saying "Yes it is true you can be ransomed but I can't be bothered." So the guy gets a warhammer to the brain.

  • @AnimaTempli101 Not quite, according to the extended version the bailiffs sent for Balian and the ambushers were two seperate groups. The bailiffs bowed to Godfreys authority and departed, as was the law. The ambushers were sent by Godfreys cousin, Roger de Cormiere, to assassinate Godfrey so Roger could take his property. Essentially you were right about Balian and the priest, though in Balians defence, the priest wasn't exactly practicing his best diplomacy at the time.

  • @FerretJohn I never saw the extended version so I didn't know that. I was just quickly explaining the priest's actions, rather than supporting them.

  • fuck you crusaiders!!

  • @yap9540 fuck you islamic hogs

  • the title just cracks me up...pickaxe to the brain? u expecting something in there?

  • "I'm accorded the privelege of randsom. This is true" PLUMP!! i lol'd soo hard at that sound xd

  • Pickaxe?

    i lol'ed

I also lol'ed when the soldier told the dude to take his helmet off

  • Comment removed

  • pop goes the weasel

  • did he find gold inside?

  • Damn nature ... you scary!

  • Ouch! There's a pickaxe in my skull ! Can someone get it out.

  • Apparently, being the son of Roger de Cormier was not enough.

  • @TYKKETYKKE Apparently not

  • ouchh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i am a noble....i actually bought the dallas cowboys for 50 cents.i am privileged to go to the vip bathroom.

  • Man ambushes Godfeys party, kills many of his men, and when defeated and captured sits there with a smug and arrogant look expecting to be treated as a noble. If anyone was begging for a pickaxe to the brain.....

  • lol too funny ^^

  • I can understand why they didn't keep this guy prisoner and ransom him - it would've drawn attention, and Godfrey was mortally wounded, half his men were dead...they needed to get to Messina under the radar at this point. They don't need anyone else looking for them for whatever reason.

  • That's actually not a pick axe. Its a war hammer.

  • @AegeanKing Yes I know, it's been mentioned multiple times in the comments section. What can I say, I was young, ignorant and naive when I made this video. :p
