w/ xp, you need to be signed in as an admin, but if you are and are still having problems, idk, try running the program as admin (i think it's right click->properties->combatibili­ty->checkbox w/ option) it's been a while since i last ran XP

You mean in the original? No, you can't, I haven't played it much, but you pretty much only club people with your saber, and you can only downright cut some other nonliving objects, like droids and the like

Well I actually read that The Force Unleashed comes to PC as The Ultimate Sith Edition(coming to PS3/Xbox 360 too). It containts original game plus all DLCs.

I have got few ideas for the mod.. send PM if you would like to get involved. Different sabering system. ( Running around and hitting and jumping back in JA isn't realistic? Isn't? No it's not.) Well there is a fix for that. Visual effects, will need some good animators. Im sure there are loads of resources for those things. Just gotta reach them:) I also know PhP and MYSQL programming languages so with official website you woudn't have any problems. PLease send Private message.

The animations in our newer videos are made by our animators "TheExile" and "Gamemaster"...

They will NOT be released before the mod, so there's no way to get them right now.

The animations in THIS video are from "FileFront", look for "backhand" or "jacobstance", you'll find them ;)

as a matter of fact the style of your backhand is the same style as i use. double blade form on a standard saber.

dude i use a backhand saber on the jedi academy demo through bugged cheats. i use a double blade to start then activate cheats, and type saber and any one other word and it turns it into a red backhand.

It is a good start. It all depends on the resources you will have. There are a lot of changes that could come in jedi academy to make it better, especially in the animations department.. the more you manage to change and improve, the better.. but for that i think you will need more people working on the project. (in some ways it could be better than the force unleashed).

In the animation departament, every charactor or character class will have it's own animations. So starkiller will have different animations from vader, wich will have different animations from shaak tii, wich will have different animations then the stormtrooper, wich will have different animations from rahm kota, etc. You get my point?

I do get your point, but so far every stance or animation mod I've seen for example was disappointing so far cause it focused on one thing and lacked a lot in other areas. For example the backhand mods should consider making useful attacks, now moving the sword that much when running and some other stuff. And.. I hope you really do something nice with this project. I like the JA free look more than console games.

this guys using the thing for the backhand where its basically a duoble blade with the front blade gone, but theres a glitch on JKA on SP where if you go 'noclip' then go into a wall and put 'iknowkungfu' then after it gives you the melee switch to saber and you have backhand...so if you want a single saber reversed do that,

I have TFU for the 360 and I enjoy it but I look forward to this TC. Why? Screw graphics, JKA has better saber dueling gameplay including dismemberments. I had hoped TFU would be in the Jedi Knight series mold but it's more of Jedi Power Battles (Dreamcast)/Revenge of the Sith (X-BOX 1). It's good but the saber play is not as much fun as JK2 and JKA. Quality is in gameplay, not graphics.

I agree whole-heartedly. Classic games are always fun. I have a 360 and tons of games for it but I still use emulators to play my favorite 2600, Arcade, SNES, Genesis and SegaCD games on my PC. (It's easier then having all my old systems hooked up.) And the Jedi Knight 2 sword-fighting engine is still the best and JK2 and JKA have one of the best modding engines so I think we'll see stuff like this for years to come (hopefully!). I just wish they'd do a new Jedi Knight game.
