You can see what Tier a player is in by looking at the end of the unit lineup on the left, when you went to Tier 2 II appeared, Stormboyz are a Tier 1 unit.

its odd cause dow 2 functions a lot more like the necrons in the original dawn of war. cause necrons did only have one unit producing unit, but the scarabs sucked. since only they could cap pionts

@Murldon Noise marines have an area blast. that knocksback ANY unit including your own, in a small radius around said squad. you can upgrade them to use a similar weapon to the plasma cannon aswell. good unit make sure you experiment with them.

Finally, dow is a much better strategy game than starcraft in my opinion because i for one dont enjoy base management and dow is all about combat. Like you said it is about map control but most units have an ability and its those abilities and the knowledge of how to use them that really makes this game fun. Giant explosions, people falling from the sky and people getting smashed are all fun to watch and starcraft doesnt really have anything like that.

The replays do show what tier the players are as you can see in the right hand corner there is a box that shows what unit is being built and if theres no unit being built it shows what tier. also storm boyz are tier 1 and theyre only necessary if you have the warboss because the kommando nob can be stealthed and either blow up or melee suppression units and the mek boy can teleport behind them and force them to retreat or melee them.

And as for lore... omg... where would you start? 40K has the best lore bar none from the rpg (as in real pen and paper rpg) and table top scene... pick anything and it will blow the new peeps minds, spesh if you can post the art with out copywrite probs 40K art is beyond awesome. Because of this vid I went online to the Dawn of War 40k wiki and spent literally 4 hours reading up on it... I was amazed on the amount of lore and information in this world and have fallen in love with it, I think my favorite Daemon gods would have to be Khaine and Malal, while my least favorites being Nurgle and Slaanesh. I find the story of the Primarchs to be awe inspiring, and whatnot. Can't really fit all I have to say about it in this little box, truly an amazing story.

@crazy4sian Well as far as I can see Nurgle seems to make people incredibly ill, they then worship him so he will make their various illnesses not disappear but instead not hurt... that doesn't sound like a caring action, not that I'm saying the other Daemon Lords are much better, but I just don't like his modus operandi. Khorne is also debatably the most powerful of the Daemon Lords due to the fact he gains power through war... which there is a LOT of in the Warhammer 40k Universe. :3

@CobraAran fellow brother do not despair, the emperor's light have shined upon you but here is a little recommendation that surely wont hurt ...check out lexicanum, the unofficial encyclopedia of the warhammer universe. You'll learn every last detail of w40k... you could probably even find out what horus had for dinner before the assualt on terra ..that is..if you are strong enough... knowledge is power

@CobraAran glad to be of help... yeah the w40k universe is truly magical, nothin comes close to the infathomable amount of lore surrounding it...30 years, 200+ books... hundreds of possible outcomes. Makes for good speculation... will the 'nids consume the galaxy and where they too created by the old ones to fight against the necrons, will the last eldar hope, the god Ynnead be reborn...n ofc the emperor, some say that when he finally dies he will be reborn in the warp and destroy the chaos gods

Nurgle's definately not a fan source when it comes to hobbies but if you need hard endurance they are definately the ones you look to. Plus they're plague abilities are a pain to anyone that isn't prepared. I also prefer armor of pestilence and mark of nurgle but that's later. Where do you stand with Tzzentch units though? I know they take heavies pretty well but it's kinda limited to there. Just curious if you use them. I suck at multiplayer and hope to get a grasp of them before Retribution.

i use heretics as support units. i build some plague marines and then make a heretic squad and let them quickly build a nurgle shrine and then tell em to worship which makes my plague marines almost invincible and yes. MOAR dow2!

I have to say that i'm split between Khorne and Tzeentch. There's something inherently awesome about a raging beserker with an axe screaming "KILL, MAIM, BURN! KILL, MAIM, BURN!" Yet Tzeentch and his Sorcerers are also extremely awesome.

When I'm playing Dawn of War 2 I like to use The Sorcerer as my champion, and upgrade troops with Tzeentch a lot, but i use Khorne's daemons to control melee combat. It's a nice little middle ground and i feel comfortable with it.
