  • What a young Brian Free, huh? One of my favorites by Gold City. You got that that right about the harmony. You can't get no better than this.

  • This old Gold City stuff is great! I can't stand to listen to the line up of gold city now. The harmony is no where near as good!

  • I wish Gold City was still together making great music. Miss theses guys very much

  • @Oncenter1 There is still a Gold City, just these guys have gone their separte way.

  • i have this same video on vhs

  • Brian! I love ya Buddy....but the poodle look just doesn't work for you. God bless.

  • @andyhorton1000 But it was hip in the mid-late 80s.

  • lol, I love tim's stage presence on the videos from this era.

  • this song is awesome

  • I like that bass singer WOW. Thanks

  • I'm not an expert on voices, but is Brian Free a tenor or countertenor? I'm not saying he sounds girly or anything, his voice is really good. I just wanna know what his voice is.

  • @Fooberedo Brians a tenor!

  • This song brings back great memories!

I used to hear it all the time on a radio show called The Mull Singing Convention.

  • wow.....Brian looks so young!!!!!

  • How old is Brian? He sounds like a kid. This group is good and I never heard of them until I saw an email about them.

I like old time Gospel songs.

  • @lorigal33 Sorry Brian was 23 in this video!

  • i love the brian free and assurance version of this on the album A Glimpse of Gold

  • anyone know where i can find the lyrics to this song?

  • I'm fairly new to Christianity, but I think it's amazing how this older style of Gospel music speaks to me moreso than the new stuff they play on the Christian radio stations where I live. I really appreciate these men that use their gift for song to praise the Lord.

  • you are correct the new stuff does not have power, that the older songs do.

  • Thats because much of the "older" songs and written more with the relationship aspect moreso than "newer" songs.

Not that todays current songs don't also minister to the relationship aspect of Christ.

    Example: Blessed Assurance

  • @mhoot80 the new stuff I can't stand to listen to sometimes they have gone away from this old fashioned Gospel way! and just go the worlds way which is sad.

  • This is true Southern Gospel. Unlike EH&SS.............that's not SG it is singing mixed with dance. - STAY true to SG!

  • is it not SG if they dance and have fun with the song ?

  • Hi Brian you have come a long way sense this video, but .you have the same great voice as then, awsome

  • Another od Sandy's creations. Sandy Knight is so talented!

  • they was the best gold city group.

  • Great song from a great songwriter (Sandy Knight)!!!

  • I absolutely love this lineup! There's a lack of excitement when I go to a concert these days. I would arrive knowing I'd hear great singing and great playing...I would love southern gospel to have a resurgence of talented bands!

  • this gold city is the best, todays lineup is lacking something. we went to see todays gold city ,but its just not as good as when brian free, ivan parker ,mike lavevre and tim riley were gold city

  • does someone know when this was recorded? Brian looks real young , maybe in the 80`s

  • '86 or '87

  • Wow, I have this video! Bout my fav. song on the video! Love this song, (and group of course!)

  • Now this is southern gospel at its best!

  • Awesome song!
