  • Ed is the best ever when it comes to high altitude mountaineering. For the greatest climb ever I'd vote for Messner's 1980 solo of summit Everest.

  • Ed is a great guy and his philosophy towards climbing is genuine and one that all guys should adopt but this isn't real mountaineering, this is "going on holiday" !
