NATO (as you know) was created as an alliance against Soviet Union. Soviet Union is gone but NATO still expand. Take Russia into NATO (besides they wouldn't mind to join) and the problem would be solved. But U.S.A don't want Russia in NATO because then they'll have to count there voice also when next time they'll decide to start war somewhere like in Iraq or Yugoslavia or Serbia or Afghanistan etc. So what's the arguments here? Err many of the soviet soldiers were Ukrainians, actualy 10 million died fighting the nazis there. And Ukraine NEVER got destroyed, get educated. They were tho taking on nazis and Russians killing them. A few million were killed by the Russians. While it was Ukraine who bulit most weapons and created the t-34 tank that saved Russia in the war.

What about the IS-2,ASU 122, the BM-13, the ASU 85, the KV-1, the IL-2, the Yak 9, and many more. Those were made in Russia. Ukraine did make a couple of weapons but everyone knows that Russia built the majority, and how could more Ukrainians die if the bloodiest battle was in stalingrad Russia. Their is no question that Russia held the USSR together. Thats why it is the successor state.

Russia is just exporting slightly more oil than Norway. I guess you're refering to natural gas as Russias main energy export. And Russia has proven it self willing to use this gas as a political tool, which means Russia isn't a stable provider, so Europa has to consider alternative providers or alternative energy sources.
Invading Iran isn't going to lower oilprices. Oil prices are high because demand is high, and because of speculation.
