  • thank you for putting this up. i am trying to decide between cameras for a shoot.

  • every time I watch footage shot with the hvx, all I can do is remember how much I love my HVX.

  • This is what happens when a spoiled suburban frat boy gets his own camera to play with -- he finds out that he has no ideas and runs around shooting random crap. Have fun with all that.

  • chill partner, they're tests

  • Agreed. If you're just testing your camera, don't put it up on YouTube.

  • thisisspartacus Disagreed.

PLEASE put it on youtube so ppl who want to know what the camera is up to can watch this sort of footage

  • stfu. it's very useful for people who want to see the quality of slow motion, and the quality of low light footage.

  • @thisisspartacus You!!! are not youtube!!! it's not the scope of how you think. stop spiting your venon!! just because you can.

    Peace/creative.

  • @thedarkcommentator It's very helpful for someone who's thinking about buying it so...um don't watch it next time?

  • @thedarkcommentator. hence the name "dark commentator" I think he is being rude on purpose.

  • yea the adapters make the lens breathe way too much, which is why it gets outta focus. i think they had the same problem with the sony ex1, but i think the ex3 they perfected it. so i'm crossin my fingers.

  • The adapter has nothing to do with the lens breathing. Either they weren't focused properly on the GG, used a zoom lens, or just having a hard time getting focus. Most 35mm zoom lenses breathe when you focus, which is why they aren't really suited for video. Not being properly focused on the GG would cause the image to be blurry. But I think the problem with this is just the person filming wasn't properly focused on the subject. Nothing to due with the camera that was used.

  • stick to primes!

  • this just made me want a smoke

  • It kind of out of focus, is this used with an M2 adapter, why is it so blurry?

  • Check out my slowmotion snowmobiling vid, it was shot using P2 cards with the HVX200 @ 60fps in 720p HD

  • You plug this thing so hard. I've seen it on like 10 comment pages. haha... It gets boring because the shots are shaky and goes for too long.

  • It will look WAY sharper if you light your subjects well and increase your shutter speed to 1/1000

Search Richdenmark on google video. watch Just Like a Woman. We combined the HPX, fast shutter speed, 60p and the steadicam. It turned out pretty great.

  • Was this shot on a Mini DV?

  • nice footage man, is this 320 x240?

  • thanks for the reply!

  • this is the best hvx200 slow motion test! What frame rate did u use?

  • 60fps

  • very good slowmotion... I'll wait the new footage...

  • Looks good! What did you edit it in?

  • Used the Frame Rate converter in FCP 5.1.4, just waiting for FCP 6 to come in the mail now :D

  • very nice...I have been playing around with frame rates myself, but mostly in AE CS3.

  • wait until you see the new footage we got with a SGPro and M2 side by side. Went and shot with a glock and a AR15 for more slowmotion stuff
